My roommates keep calling me gym obsessed.

@kmar123 This is pretty much my workout schedule as well. I workout 5-6 times a week and I pick my rest day depending on how fatigued I am that particular day. I also make sure to spread out my exercises into upper and lower body days and I've had absolutely no issues. One of the reasons I do...

Mixing classes (I.e Orangetheory, boxing, spinning) with lifting?

@maria37 I'm so sorry for the confusion - I didn't realize until after I had written all that out that that might not have been what you meant. LOL Then I figured maybe another poster might stumble upon it and benefit from it LOL But yes back to your main question, absolutely. They will...

Mixing classes (I.e Orangetheory, boxing, spinning) with lifting?

i'm not familiar with orange theory and such so my advice is going to be a lot more generalized. typically speaking you can def workout twice a day and reap the benefits of it. however, it's generally recommend you avoid doing two strength training sessions in a day - unless you are a...

Mixing classes (I.e Orangetheory, boxing, spinning) with lifting?

@maria37 GIRL! YOU STILL LOST 100LBS! I don't even want to hear it. Keep pushing my lady. The great thing about lifting is you can usually recover some of your lost gains pretty quickly after taking a reasonable amount of time off from the gym. And you clearly have the right mindset and...

    Barbell Racks and Pads?

@darongeorge I personally don't like squatting with a barbell pad. I do find that it shifts my center of gravity and I don't feel safe when performing my lifts. I don't wear shoes either. I used to hate the feeling of the bar across my back - was very uncomfortable - then I realized I was...

Squatting AtG is not necessarily better than parallel

I also tend to lose control of my back and the bar when I start squatting too low, and the weight starts shifting to my front toes. It's just a bad time all around lol.

Squatting AtG is not necessarily better than parallel

@roger5599 I've tried so hard to do the ass to the grass thing, but I just can't due to my mobility. One thing that helped me was elevating my heels, switching to a high bar squat, and assuming a wide stance. This helped immensely in getting lower, but I hit about parallel and that's about it...
