Are presses enough for upper chest?

@broncofan No need. I always used an old granny walker that's surprisingly sturdy. And recently I moved to an apartment that has three balconies. Each one has iron handrails with corners at both sides, and they're perfect for dips.

Are presses enough for upper chest?

@doctoroliver83 Yeah. I don't mind doing dips. I've been doing them for years, and I can do them on the corner of my balcony's handrails, right after waking up (or before going to bed). I'm simply asking because I'd like to know how far I can go with an ultra minimalist routine, one that could...

    KB FS vs. C&P Weights

@gina7arth If you use the same weight for everything, you shouldn't do the same number of reps for everything. If you can't increase the weight, increase the reps, or sets, or both. So do fewer reps for overhead press and more reps for squats.

Are presses enough for upper chest?

I just decided to ditch the gym and embrace kettlebells. I'm an old dog of 54 and I want to be minimalist and efficient. I'm making double kB clean&press, front squats and chin-ups my bread and butter. Main goals: fitness, health, longevity. But I won't lie to you, I wouldn't mind looking hot...

    KB FS vs. C&P Weights

@gina7arth In my case, the heart and lungs are the limiting factor. I can do many reps of clean&press, but if I mix them with front squats I end up sucking air on the floor. So when I do clusters (clean + squat + press) I do it on purpose to ramp up my cardio. Otherwise, doing each exercise...

    Simple DFW program questions

@jaysj84 A set of one is: 1. One clean & press (both movements together). 1. One front squat. But note that before the squat, you'll have to clean the bells before. You shouldn't start squatting right after doing the clean&press. You must rest the bells on the floor, clean them and then you do...

    KB FS vs. C&P Weights

@gina7arth The solution is doing more reps for squats than for presses. Since you are using the same weight for both, presses and squats, and since your legs are stronger than your upper body, the only way to increase the stimulus to your legs is by doing more reps. For example, the Armour...

    Kb28kg as first

@jvk1214 Exactly! We are all the time trying to figure out the most optimal way of doing everything, but the truth is that pretty much everything works, that anything is better than nothing, and that good enough is often better than optimal. Consistency is the key.
