@love101 I would just try it with chin ups for the most inflammation, which leads to the quickest recovery.

@praen4you I would say give it a good 3 or 4 workouts and you will start to feel heaps better. Just work through the pain a little, the extra inflammation around your elbow will do wonders for the tendon.

Mark Rippetoe's chin-up protocol for fixing Golfers Elbow

@praen4you No worries! I pretty much took one minute breaks between sets and did 15 sets of 3, but you basically just want to do an amount that’s not too hard where you won’t be struggling on the last rep. And yeah I didn’t ice or do anything else really, maybe a little hard massaging every so...

Mark Rippetoe's chin-up protocol for fixing Golfers Elbow

@praen4you Hey mate, I have pretty much beaten it since I made this post, however it will occasionally ache after a heavy squat session or heavy rows and then will be back to normal within a day. I would keep at it and see how it turns out, you will be surprised how quickly you notice it...

Mark Rippetoe's chin-up protocol for fixing Golfers Elbow

@khuleman It’s well known that tendon injuries don’t heal properly from rest. You may go to being pain free but more than likely the problem will return as soon as you resume. Light high rep eccentrics are often recommended (reverse wrist curls on a flex bar) but this didn’t quite do it for me...

@talaribhushanam1976 It was quite intense pain. Rip mentions in the video that it’s going to be painful.

Mark Rippetoe's chin-up protocol for fixing Golfers Elbow

@talaribhushanam1976 Thanks that’s a good point. The main thing that surprised me about this was the fact that I had to work through a fair bit of pain which is contrary to most information on tendinitis I have found out there.

Mark Rippetoe's chin-up protocol for fixing Golfers Elbow

I'm writing this post to recommend Rippetoe's chin-up protocol as a fix for Golfers Elbow. I was super sceptical of this at first because it seems so counter intuitive, especially compared to most other information out there. For those of you unaware of what I'm talking about, Rippetoe suggests...
