@blessedintrovert That would work up to a point but when you raise your legs too high, you would start working your shoulders more than your chest. It's still a good alternative.
@nvmommyx6 By adding weight I meant I put weight plates in an old backpack and put it on while I push up. It's not a pure bodyweight excercise then but I have some plates for adjustable dumbbells so it's practical for me.
@dadnotsuperman Diamonds definitely are one of the hardest known materials in the world.
That said, I hate diamond push ups as well, so I just progress push ups by adding weight.
