    @jayaraj You dont need to squat period. Its mostly macho broscience when it comes to it. You can easily build big legs with leg press, and leg curl/extension, but without the pressure on your lower back, especially if you have back issues. I myself always liked to squat and as others here...

    How many exercises do you do for a muscle group and why?

    @orthodox_christian It depends on your goal. If you are powerlifting you need only exercises that help you in squatting, deadlifting and benching more weight. On the other hand if you are doing bodybuilding you will need to hit all muscle groups from different angles targeting different muscles...
