    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@faithjoyhope There was a mix of different grips. I thought it would be much to include the types in the title of this (as well as many people don't know the difference). Thanks for keeping me honest though, I wasn't trying to pull one (or chin one) over on anyone lol

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@rea7 I switched grips throughout and wanted to keep the title as short as possible. I wasn't trying to pull (or chin) one over on you loll. I appreciate you keeping me honest though.

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@suzietors I don't have $1,000 of disposable income to Just donate, which is why I reach out to my community. If its that simple, I'll make sure to solicit you the next time I am raising funds....

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@luvmycats Wow, 6 months is such a long time. That must have been incredibly hard. I hope everything is going well now. You should. I'm not sure how close you are to Columbus Ohio, but this Full and Half marathon they do every October is an extremely motivating and amazing event.

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@jfortizzle I was actually training for a half marathon and had a 6 mile run the next day. I was DEAD. Lifting my arms up the next 2 days was not a fun task but it felt good knowing it was for such a good cause.

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@loveisasymphony Thank you! Changing grips definitely helped. The lats were still the primary mover, but I was able to give different parts of my forearm some work and got my biceps involved a bit. My total time at the bar was around 4 hours but it broke it up throughout the day. One session at...

@wendit It was definitely a very scary experience. We actually just had our 2nd 2 weeks ago and she was born on her due date ( a much smoother experience) lol

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@dawn16 There was a mix of chin-ups and pull ups. Since most people can't distinguish between the two, I thought it would be confusing calling it "1000 Pullups and Chin-ups for charity". I appreciate you keeping me honest though!

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@holyspirit2014 Thanks! I think the key is finding a rep number that you can do without feeling much fatigue or lactic acid build up. Fresh, I can do 25-30 pullups so 5 was pretty manageable.

    1,000 Pull-ups In 1 Day For Charity

@dawn16 Thank you! All it is, is practice. If you do that, and different variations 3 days a week, you will be surprised at how much they increase!

@bevan77 I ended up raising $2,329. Here is a link to the fundraiser page that goes over the background story and everything. https://give.nationwidechildrens.org/site/TR/Events/General?px=1476463&pg=personal&fr_id=1420 This fundraiser was actually part of a larger one that is run through the...
