    First Competition! (17Y/O M)

@oanda Get a coach. For the knowledge and expertise yes but also to have a critical outside opinion of your progress. It should also reduce your stress levels considerably as all those uncertainties about prep will vanish.

@courtneyr Thanks bro! It’s just more fun to make every workout as painful as possible.

@great_depression I don’t mean this post alone. I’ve looked into these concepts a while ago and found that for myself hitting a miscle group with the same volume as 2x a week or more on a single day works better. All the work and more time to fully recover. I’ll look into that thread over...

@great_depression I still look at the science. It seems to me tho that a lot of people are obsessed with studies and won’t discuss anything else that’s all.

@rcarnighan Yup, spend three hours a day worrying about the optimal leg workout or lift some heavy shit a lot of times until you puke and your legs are so swollen you walk like a pinguin with a stick up his ass.

@dawn16 It’s always worked wonders while cutting. Higher prtein intake results in thermogenesis when on a deficit.

@dawn16 I use them pre and intra workout. It’s a digestive thing. I’ve had better results using aminos along my high carb pre workout meal rather than eating whole protein. I digest the carbs faster and get a better pump overall. I’ll also have some if I can’t get a meal in within 3 hours of the...

@propitiated I hang from the pull up bar with a couple 45s attached to my ankles an hour every day. Works wonders to get u NBA ready.

@niecey85 I’ll say that although not exactly twice a week frequency, splitting leg day in quads vs hams raised the volume by two and improved my legs tremendously. Recalling chest on shoulder day helps as well.

    1 Year Progress 118-159 (19M)

@thepromise308 Props on putting in the work in the kitchen! It payed off. I see a lot of “smaller” guys afraid to eat in that surplus range when bulking but that’s where the money is as long as you train insane and sleep plenty.

@niecey85 I gained 45lbs of lean mass over 4 years so I’m pretty sure training like a regular bodybuilder works just fine. I basically try to train and eat like someone on gear and it’s been great.

@niecey85 I hit it fucking hard and heavy. I’ll also do some recall exercises for added frequency. Chest during shoulders, tris during chest, bis during back, quads during hams and hams during quads etc. You get the point.

Progress Picture I am 22 y/o, 6’7 and currently 254lbs. I’ve been training for 4 years, 3 of which I was vegan. I introduced meat to my diet last April. This would’ve been my third show to date. As for diet I’m currently eating a 330P/220C/90F macro split. Brought down the bulk calories from...
