    Favourite grips

@jjmcubbin That tactical victory grips are the best grips money can buy. I’ve used other brands and keep coming back to the tactical victory grips.

What separates the elite from the rest

@mbahchidinma You’re just flat out wrong. And that comment proves it.

What separates the elite from the rest

@mbahchidinma So you know I’m right.

What separates the elite from the rest

@mbahchidinma You clearly know nothing about sports to say people who have played college athletics aren’t freak athletes. Even if they walk on. Normal people don’t play college sports. Normal people don’t make it to the CrossFit games. Just stop. You don’t know what you’re talking about. If...

What separates the elite from the rest

@mbahchidinma There are what 40 men in the games field? And you named 2 guys who are short. Obviously CrossFit has turned into a smaller guy sport. Games athletes average what? 5’9” for the men? Maybe 5’5” for the women? Idk. You named a lot more D1 athletes than you did short people. So I think...

When to do start Semis level programming?

@dukeofwa Your strength is still your weakness. I know the season goes quarters to semis but your typical quarters level athlete is still so far from being a semi’s level athlete it’s insane. Get that C&J up to about 350 and the snatch up to about 285 minimum and then your strength numbers will...

What’s the most ‘pure’ or ‘OG’ CrossFit program you know of?

@ahunbleservant Linchpin is about as OG as it gets. Then you’ve also got folks like complain, invictus, mayhem, and Misfit. They’ve all been around forever too. There’s probably others.

    Disappointed with my 24.1 result

@damj You still have 2 weeks to improve. You aren’t out of it yet. You can technically make quarter finals and never have a finish inside the top 25%. Ticket is just being consistent. This workout this week was all about engine. In a workout that you have to do muscle ups or lift heavy you may...

    Took a Dexa Scan before resuming gym [M35 / 96 Kgs / 6'1 ft - 30% body fat, overweight]

@jake99901 I’d encourage you to try something like CrossFit. Group fitness classes are where it’s at for the value. You have coaches interested in helping you reach your goals. You’re lifting and working out on a program. And you’re paying a fraction of the cost you would for a personal trainer.

Where do you store your personal records?

@ciel BTWB app. But also my brain. I know loosely what my times and lifts are in my head.

Coaches.. there are other movements than burpees.. #justsaying

@reflectj Pressing doesn’t tax the CNS very much so you can press a lot without being just beat down. Where as squats, deadlifts, pull ups tend to be a little more taxing. Harder to do those multiple times a week.

    Disappointed with my 24.1 result

@kennybest Ehhh. There’s a lot of cardio bunnies who can’t lift a 50lb db. I think the test may have been a little more well rounded than we’re giving it credit for. It was mostly about the burpee. But there’s a lot of folks having to put that db down in the workout.

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

@shloppysloppy It’s a great workout… I just don’t want to do more burpees over stuff. Lol

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

@dale1257 The way it’s been this year so far we’ll get 18.2….

Initial 24.3 percentages BTWB (and percentages to shoot for, for quarterfinals)

@soldier84 50% of CRossfitters probably don’t. But I would believe 50% of open participants gave one.

    Wrecked

@kimberdavis90 You admit you don’t eat a lot during the day and you’re feeling drained for workouts. I’d start at my nutrition and see where I can improve. Are you really eating enough to fuel your body? If so is it quality foods? Are you prioritizing protein? Are you getting enough water...

I’m stuck on my average run time and I don’t know what to do

@hightechredneck Break up the monotony. You keep doing 2-3 mile runs. Do some half mile repeats at a 8 or 9 minute pace with rest 2-3 minute rest in between. Do some 4/5 mile runs at a 11-12 minute pace. It’s the exact same as doing back squats or bench press. I don’t load up the bar and just...
