Working out, work, and life balance

@oakofrighteousness This honestly sounds like a reasonable routine. Exactly what I’m looking for because I’d also like to have some time in the evenings for things like winding down. Also funny you mentioned, I am reading Atomic Habits right now. Quite a wealth of infos there!

Working out, work, and life balance

@marinda Well, that would have been the easiest response to any question like this. Unfortunately, I don’t have the space for a home gym and even if I do, my gym is only 10 minutes walk away. The reason I ask is to get insight how people manage their time around work and working out.

@aedaz With that commute I’d probably consider investing in a home gym 😅 35mins (over an hour return) to the gym sounds really much. You can already have a great home workout in that much time on hand.

@mexican30 I hope in time I find the right routine for me. Not sure if this is something you have to aggressively inflict in the day (so I learn that I workout then I work) or find the best time that works. I found great insights in this thread and everyone’s really killing it with scheds that...

Working out, work, and life balance

@gtorre I do sleep 8hrs a day, how good it is - I’m not sure. I do wake up few times a night and some days are restless. My diet is 1600-1700cal and 150g protein per day. I eat about 250g of veggies/fruits per meal and moderate carbs. Pretty balanced I would say. That said, I’m 32F, 70kg, and...

Working out, work, and life balance

@gtorre I think going to the gym in the mornings are natural nowadays for me. My biggest issue is how my energy is crashing midday and how it affects my work sched which then affects the free time I have in the evenings

Working out, work, and life balance

@romanticcode I like to think I have a balanced diet. I’m 32F, 70kg, 163cm and eats approx. 1600-1700cal (I’m trying to lose some fat), eats 150g protein everyday, about 250g veggies/fruits per meal, and moderate carbs. Hydration, I do take electrolytes once a day and don’t really drink coffee...

@harko Unfortunately, I live in an apartment with very limited space. My gym is only 10mins walk from my place so thankfully its not an issue to get there.

@dawn16 I thought about changing it to that sched. And I probably will try it! I live in Finland and most people finish work around 3-4PM here and many go to gym straight away meaning gyms are full around this time 😅 but its worth a try! I prolly will this week.

Working out, work, and life balance

Hi all! I started my gym journey last April and so far I love it. I am curious, how do you guys balance working out, 8hrs of work, and day-to-day life? Personally, I am struggling! I try to go to gym in the morning from 7-8:30AM and I start my work at 9/9:30AM-5/6PM and sleep around 10PM. I...
