How to not absolutely pee myself during double unders

@tobyso If you’re not able to find a PF PT (or in addition to PT) I highly recommend the programming from POPUp. It is designed for women with prolapse but they have a ton of really useful information, guidance, and workouts to help with a myriad of pelvic floor issues. I had a stage 2 prolapse...

24 hero WODs. Every hour on the hour

@volokh We have a very similar event where I’m from. I did it once but in a team of 4. It was so hard and definitely high risk for rhabdo/injury. But I loved it and would definitely do it again!

    Didn’t piss my pants!

@bannerman You can actually get these tampon-like things called Poise Impressa. Essentially it’s like a disposable pessary or a little tent that helps hold everything in place to help prevent leaking. I know a feel people who use them for running.

    Didn’t piss my pants!

@bannerman Really great insight, thanks for sharing. I knew about the jaw/pelvic floor connection from my birthing classes but hadn’t heard about the connection to the ankles and feet! Makes sense, it’s all connected isn’t it! I really think the strategy for anyone looking to improve skipping...

    Didn’t piss my pants!

@gigglingtrout I highly recommend seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist! It could be weak or overactive but either way a good physio can be very helpful.

@drcao Progress baby! That’s exactly what I did, broke it up into smaller sets, taking a few breaths to reset in between. Keep at it!

    Didn’t piss my pants!

Listen, I’ve had 2 babies in the last 3 years and I just finished nearly 6 rounds of 24.2 without weeing in my pants! That’s a win in my books. Any one else have any non-score related wins this open?

LPT: go get all around blood work done at least every yr

@starrss Hmm interesting. I haven’t come across this in any of my research (I’m doing my PHC NP). I would love to see the primary research. If you have any sources I’d be interested but I can also look it up myself.

LPT: go get all around blood work done at least every yr

@earnestq Side note: Almost everyone is vitamin D deficient. You should be supplementing ~2000iu everyday! Liquid is the most bio available. Side side note: there’s some good evidence that low vitamin d levels are associated with severe Covid. Another good reason to supplement.
