@biango I think quad tightness was a big issue for me too bc whenever I stretch them my knees feel great.

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@philip2uk That’s actually what I was thinking plus fewer exercises on my strength training days because I think I’ve been doing them past the point of effectiveness and adding too much strain on my body so I think I’ll give it a shot!

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@philip2uk I am not other than a tiny bit of core really. I already have some upper body muscle and my legs are definitely less developed so I want to focus on lower body to round it out

@coldflame Thx! I think the warmup and stretching are key and I’ve definitely been neglecting them. Also think I’ve been doing too many exercises on my leg days and with no rest with cardio (exercise bike) in between I think it’s all just been quite taxing on my knees especially as a beginner

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@singer1959 I really think that’s it. Muscles are fine but too much too quick for my joints and frame. Think I’m gonna drop from 60-90 min workouts to 30 min workouts with more stretching and warming up and do less cardio and see how I feel then go from there. I’m really afraid of knee injury bc...

@singer1959 Maybe you added too much with the 2-3 60mins workouts? Maybe try 1-2 at 30 mins then work up is better?

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@nicholehe Definitely taking this week off to rest up a bit then next week come back with better plan and slow and steady approach. I think just a combination of going from sedentary for years to 6 days a week plus going too heavy and long on leg days (which we’re really weak to begin with) and...

@apple_of_his_eye Oh I don’t have any motivation issues and like what I do it’s just all about my knees lol

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@brookegally13 For sure! I usually do leg days Mondays and Thursdays, but I definitely think I started going heavy too quick. So if what I try next week is still too much then I might drop weights altogether for now.. we’ll see!

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@brookegally13 Think that’s about it just overdoing it so I’m gonna take a few days off and come back next week with less but with more warming up and stretching!

Fit/active women of Reddit, what’s your weekly exercise routine like?

@katxo Working out has definitely helped with stress and sleep and confidence and everything so def don’t wanna stop just don’t wanna destroy my knees

@sirgav1n Slow and steady seems to be the consensus rather than 0-100!

@kingjamesversionbibleonly Oh nice! Glad it helped! I found that finding a type of cardio and routine that I enjoy has helped as well as seeing actual results in the mirror and on the scale :)
