I’m so burned out of calorie counting. Has anyone had success with taking a break?

@slant I feel you. In my case calorie counting contributed in eating disorder which symptoms come back to my life sometimes. What really helped me is intermittent fasting (to set a limit) and 80/20 approach. I feel safe and flexible this way. It may help you too. You can also tweak new recipes...

Ladies, how long did it take you to lose your first 10lb?

@regadoo I have lost my “teenage” pounds pretty fast. I lost first 10lbs I believe in less than 3 weeks when I was 17. I had no idea how to count calories correctly that time which makes me think that I restricted myself a lot. My BMI was always normal but I looked chubby though.

When I exercise, I don’t lose weight. But when I stop exercising and just eat less, I lose weight

@woollybear Yes me too.. also water retention after lifting and drinking lots of water. What worked for me was changing a lifestyle in general. So if I eat more then it will be whole food which will not cause much weight gain.

    Finally got dumbbells and…

@kaylarose3 It took 1 year for me to progress to 11kg. My 1 rep max is 15kg. But I must admit that genetically I have kinda broader shoulders than average. I don’t even see many female couches lifting more than 12kg. So don’t feel pressure to load your shoulders with tons of weight.

    Workouts that don’t push limits

@panozaa_allbet The Glow Method on YouTube. Great combination of yoga, Pilates, and mobility. I love these videos for those days when I am so down and literally have no power. I can’t even call it a workout. They are wellness exercises exactly without pushing to the limits.
