"What is normal eating?" 5'1 43F 274.4>234.4=40lb lost

    @joyinyah I’m 5’4 150 lbs and I eat 1700-1900 cals a day. I am trying to cut and that’s what tdeecaculator.net tells me to eat. I lift 3-4x a week and do HIIT 2-3x a week.

5’2, 175lbs, history of binge eating, so confused!

@stormii I agree with this! OP, Please consider weightlifting and doing light cardio. That really helped me when I was 175 lbs and at the beginning of my journey. I only weightlifted 2-3x a week (30 minutes at most) and I walked 10k steps a day (only takes an hour). Weightlifting helps build...

Rant about people trying to look skinny or have a x inch waist

@dawn16 YES! Also, eating too little means metabolism is SHOT. I love promoting weightlifting because weight doesn’t matter as much and bodyfat% is a better indicator of health. I am also aiming for a big muscular butt myself. I love your comment so much.

Rant about people trying to look skinny or have a x inch waist

@anonyq1 Yeah. That’s why I want to post this. You are beautiful and strong, AND healthy, and your waistline doesn’t define you. Of course, being morbidly obese and unhealthy isnt good either.

Rant about people trying to look skinny or have a x inch waist

@goteamgod112011 Right!! I love weightlifting too and I promote it like crazy. It’s so much better for your health and metabolism to eat enough, STILL EXERCISE, and focus on overall health and nutrition.

Has anyone had a silly “lightbulb” moment while exercising?

@m32s Mind-muscle connection was one of my dumbest light bulb moments. I hear this term ALL the time but never knew how to execute it. I was very good at lifting weights and I was strong, but I wasn’t building muscle. I realized one day that I have to really think about THAT muscle. Doing RDL...

How do you get a smaller waist ?!!! I’m stuck

@tomarnold Body recomp! Lift weight to you can lose fat and gain muscles. I also recommend being okay with a waist size 27. Maybe start off with building a strong upper body and lower body from weightlifting, giving the appearance of an hourglass figure. A smaller waist will follow

@alexa0225 Okay fair. But I also want to call out people who do it unhealthily.

Haven’t lost any inches despite 5-6 days of exercise for 6-7 weeks

@athleteto Are you gaining muscles and losing weight? Have you take any Progress pics? Do you feel your skin/areas of your body that are “tighter”? It may not be inches or weight, but other NSVs that you have. If you feel great, eating healthy, and doing things that make you faster or stronger...

    MY STOMACH IS HUGE

@ramondor THIS! Girl you’re FINE! I swear if you do show us a picture, we’ll say you have a tiny stomach. Or a ripped stomach. You are doing everything right. So what your tummy has a little fat? That’s part of being a woman. I have fat too.

What is the core equivalent of walking, i.e. a natural motion you can just do more of to use those muscles without “exercises”?

@called2 Drinking water. Going to the bathroom. Pulling pants down. Peeing. Pulling pants back up. I’m not kidding. If I actually get enough water for the day, my steps average about 1000 more

    I can’t do push-ups

@ilovejesuschristourlord Double emphasis on the bench press. Benching helped my push-ups SO MUCH. I used to do push-ups wrong (arms flaring out at 90 degrees from the sides is wrong. Supposed to be at a 45 degree angle from the sides and a 90 degree at the elbow). Make sure you’re working your...

Rant about people trying to look skinny or have a x inch waist

@megusta You’re absolutely right! I should change my post. It’s meant to be like, Strive for a better you! kinda mantra. And that’s it.

I went off track for FOUR DAYS and I gained 3 pounds. Just feeling really frustrated. 5’2” SW 125 GW 120 CW 126.6

@adriana28 I’m sure it’s just water weight. Or even pre-period weight (like me last Friday). Pee or poo it out, and you’ll shrink back down. Take measurements and focus less on weight.

Petite girls is it true our calorie deficits are smaller?

@armour_101 The other comments covered a lot of good information already on BMR, TDEE, and height. Have you only done cardio and no weightlifting? Because the more muscles you have, the higher your caloric metabolism at the same height and weight.
