    Disappointed with my 24.1 result

@damj There will be four WODs, one of which will test strength. Just focus on your strengths and you will get into the top 25%.

Hot take: ladies, is dating getting difficult after doing CrossFit?

@royblizzard I am a happily married, 48 yo male, Army veteran, who has been doing CrossFit for > 13 years. Lots to unpack here, but I can assure you that any man who find you less attractive because you are getting stronger and fitter is not worth your time. My wife and I both do CrossFit, and...

Getting better means needing more rest??

@sanchez55 If you want to get better, replace some of the strength work with skill work. You will get stronger by doing most WODs, but you will not get more efficient at skills by doing WODs. Skill work is also lower impact, which helps with recovery.

2023 NoBull CrossFit Games IE 1 - Ride Discussion Thread

@kennybest Whatever Chase says about biking is guaranteed to be wrong. Last year he said they should accelerate on the uphill gravel portion, which is quite literally the opposite of what they should do. He also said they should go unbroken on the T2B so they could get on the bike first, and...

Baylee Rayl not competing in the 2024 CrossFit Games

@endtimeservant777 Anyone here notice the irony of launching a brand about "stepping away from" "fleshly desires"?

    Fraser tortures fitness blogger

@mbahchidinma He exercises differently. To win the Games, you need size because the weights are big. Just think about moving the ROGUE Pig. But training for that puts a lot of strain on your joints, and as you age it gets harder and harder. If anyone thinks he's smaller because he "no longer"...

Initial 24.3 percentages BTWB (and percentages to shoot for, for quarterfinals)

@talkingbunny If you can do C2B and 135# Thrusters, this is about saving your pull for Round 4. My strategy: Sets of 5-5 on the 95# Thrusters = ~ 30 seconds per round Sets of 2 C2B across all rounds = ~ 40 seconds per round With transitions, should be finished 5 Rounds in ~ 7:30 - 8:00...

@akingbade Every Canadian athlete will have bought Health Insurance for their visit to the US. But wouldn't CroasFit also have insurance coverage for its athletes?

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

    @tomahawk777 Fair point. I don't disagree.

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

@dale1257 Well you're ready for it at least!

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

@dale1257 19.5 works as well. C2B and Thrusters. Classic couplet. Only needs to separate the Top 25%.

    C.A.P. and the Open

@catholic_with_a_mic Each week, CAP has not used the same movements as were in the Open WOD that week. Personally I used CAP to figure out what wasn't in the Open. Soreness and fatigue depend on your intensity and fitness. Any WOD can make you hurt if you go full send.

These bad dips need to stop

@josephcamline The parallettes are clearly too far apart here ... but doing dips for time is a terrible fitness test because the risk of injury is so high. Does nobody remember everyone tearing their pecs in the 2017 Regionals after the Ring Dip event? I am not so much concerned about how it...

Correlation Analysis of OPEN 24.1 and 24.2

@hmseej I suggest converting each WOD outcome to reps / 60 seconds. For 24.2 it's super easy: Reps / 20 For 24.1 it's Reps / 15 for time-capped individuals, 60*180/time in seconds for those who finished the workout. For 24.3 it's Reps / 14 for those who got through 5 rounds, Reps / 14 for...

@hmseej Put these in a regression model, standardize the variables, and tell us which matters the most.
