Bad follow up dexa scan, where to go from here

@ecumeni So running the machine is probably not much more complicated than orienting the clients body according to markings on a board or on the machine itself and pressing some buttons. Yeah calibration is ideal but if the machine isn't being used for the intended purpose then I'm not sure what...

Bad follow up dexa scan, where to go from here

@ecumeni It's a computer program. You don't need any credentials to perform a DEXA, you might need a training certificate at most. Kind of like you don't need credentials to take an x-ray or even perform a CT. The output is based on complex formulas run by software. Anyone can just read the...

Just for fun: what’s everyone’s favorite fitness/health “fact” that’s been debunked?

@notaperfectchristian Well I mean there was a time when people drank their own urine. So who fucking knows. I remember my best friend at the time telling me she drank her first morning piss in the shower and I almost had a stroke. She got mad when I told her it wasn't sterile.

Just for fun: what’s everyone’s favorite fitness/health “fact” that’s been debunked?

@notaperfectchristian Exactly. It's what your pee and poo is for. Your liver and kidneys are hard at work and you gotta insult them by eating lemon water with pepper?

The answer to all the “why am I not losing weight?” posts

@butterfly2222 Obviously, but it's a 67% increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes as compared to those who didn't drink diet soda (notice I did not say those who didn't drink any soda) and there have been multiple mechanisms proposed that may account for decreased glycemic control amongst...

    I’m so upset…

@alincoboy I think it's unnecessary. The level of activity required to deplete a meaningful level of electrolytes is waayyyy more than most people will ever achieve

How do I get a physique like this?

@brit218932 That's absurd. You can't diagnose an ED based on a photo. Don't say shit like this.

everything i know about losing weight that might help you

@koruschristian You can also lose weight in a less intensive way and eat food and not feel guilt that you're "ruining your progress". Not everyone does well with the hyperquantification of things. This is how you lost weight but Jesus Christ. I feel like I was assaulted by eye.
