48M kind of disappointed in 2-years' gym progress. Maybe I need some help

@nowhereman Your 48. I'm there too. At 37 I was ripped doing what you're doing. At 48,I'm at the gym again and my expectations are low. Your work out probably doesn't allow for recovery. I do 3 days a week right now and run almost daily. You won't gain 💪 by not allowing for muscles to...

Does aging really contribute to weight gain/loss of muscle?

@xene19 at your age, age is not an issue.

Is strength training even worth it with insufficient protein?

@nanathalieee You can gain muscle and loose weight. I did it. 3500 cal deficit on high protein diet. You need 100 grams atleast of protein. The easy way is to seperate weight loss and muscle gain. There you go.

How much is a good caloric deficiency?

@nuggets71 If you never did full submersion body fat content testing in a water bath before and after you have no idea what you're before and after results are. The fact that you're saying Mount Everest makes it even more scary. You have absolutely no idea what it takes to climb something like...

How much is a good caloric deficiency?

@nuggets71 Don't know what to orange theory is. Don't care. I'd guess their measurements are kinda right maybe. But based on calories in/out you shouldn't be gaining weight. So what are you leaving out? I don't believe for a second you take in 1500 calories and exercise that much and gain weight.

Is there anything I can do that doesn’t require me to change my diet, but will still make me loose weight?

@questioner1 500 daily works. Did it. 1000 would suck on exercise abd limited food.

How soon after the big V were you back in the gym ?

@becksblue I had to get surgery (look up hydrocelectomy if you dare). So while in there I got the V. My recovery sucked. Guessing it wasn't just because of the V. I was in bed for 2 days and could barely walk the next 3.

How do I train to walk at a 5mph pace for 2.5 miles?

@upliftinglove 5 mph. That's a slow running pace. Pace yourself. Or intervals.

How could I possibly eat less and exercise a sh*t ton more, and actually gain weight??

@youngwolf I started lifting again recently and tried to to do a calorie deficit. I gained 5 pounds. Concluded it's water weight 8n my muscles. Partially caused by my addition of creatine monohydrate to my diet.

I’m stuck on my average run time and I don’t know what to do

@hightechredneck Go to the running reddit. Frankly you need to run further and slower if you want to run faster. You need to build up to atleast one weekly 6 mile run. Pace doesn't matter. Time on feet matters.
