How to cut while minimizing muscle loss

@pmichel Simplest answer High protein Similar training with some modifications with your lower volume capacity with your compounds. Cut slow as possible. 1% of BW per week down to 0.5% when you’re below 10% bf. So essentially, you can only lose fat really quickly if you’re high bf to begin...

Am I missing out if I dont squat ?

@jayaraj It’s not squads that increase test. Muscle increases test. Big legs can be obtained though w/e leg exercise of your choice. A lot to bodybuilders don’t do the powerlifting movements. Powerlifting movements are only crucial for, you guessed it, powerlifters.

Had insane growth then suddenly no growth, what gives?

@hteezy Of course it’s not all water. They grow in tandem. Let’s go your reason. Yeah it’s all muscle. Your training also became so shit the next 4 months you didn’t grow at all. Cool. I’ll agree to that then.

Had insane growth then suddenly no growth, what gives?

@hteezy It’s called water. When you introduce work to untrained muscles, it also increased the amount of water stored to house glycogen. It’s 1/3 forms of hypertrophy. Yes it’s growing, but it’s not contractile tissue. It’s now a continuously trained muscle(congrats). But now the actual fibers...

Had insane growth then suddenly no growth, what gives?

@hteezy Because it was in fact not actually muscle. You cut down and they will be the first things to go. Gaining pure contractile tissue is very slow. If you’re still getting stronger without sacrificing form, you have nothing to worry about.

Dealing with the modern fitness industry

@mamabdog And you think you can handle hanging out with 25 girls all over you? Is that the kind of person you think you are capable of? Is anyone capable of that? Let’s be realistic. They are getting paid to be there. Stop falling for the “do my what I do and you’ll be here” when they are some...

professional advice on Weighted abs in relation to waist

@irish007 Just avoid twisting stuff. I’m a men’s physique athlete. The reason I can even compete was from doing weighted ab training. EVERY SINGLE ab machine at my gym. I have maxed out for 3x15s. Doing weighted leg raises and using the cable stacks are the only way I can get some ab training...

Recap for OCB Slayer Classic 2022

Got 2nd in my first show and I did not pose well due to never practicing from being so tired. Wanted to be a pro in my 2nd show no matter what; that’s essentially the only way I would improve in my placing. Decided to just go after it. Self coached since forever. Problems: My planned show got...

Training styles of Geoffrey Verity Schofield and Natural Hypertrophy (Volume vs Intensity)

@jamierite74 You pursue the one you enjoy and gives you progress. Notice geoffrey and NH are actually very weak for their training age and size. They obviously take a very hypertrophic approach to improve since that’s what they personally saw improvements in. You’re going to keep doing what...

One question regarding this PPL plan(why so few squats?)

@maygrace If the volume is low, the intensity has to be high. It’s a preference where you enjoy that point being placed at. First week is easy. It ramps up. Block 2 has pretty high volume days and high intensity days alternating to get work capacity and strength ready for a peak week.
