I cannot gain muscle, no matter what I do

@moxieb i am 185 bodyweight. not 150. I definitley brace on my squat. maybe it's not visible in those videos or maybe i wasn't always so good at it. > height is irrelevant how could this be the case? a 6 foot guy and a 5 foot guy who weigh the same would be expected to lift the same?

I cannot gain muscle, no matter what I do

@moxieb I think I need a goal weight, because if I continue at the current rate for the next 40 pounds, I will have gained 80 pounds of mostly fat. Is there no chart that more accurately represents what weight lifters should be at, relative to their height, to bench 225, for instance?

@zainonechia Is there some weight reference chart you can give me? I’m basing my weight on BMI, which at your numbers would say I’m clinically obese.

I cannot gain muscle, no matter what I do

@rob1500 Yea I’ve worked with a few big friends and a few PRs. I’ve also uploaded a video on here before a while ago. I go a bit slower on bench now but most else is the same. Consensus is generally that my form isn’t perfect but it’s okay.

I cannot gain muscle, no matter what I do

I am a 6 foot male, currently 185 pounds. Goals: Before I began working out 3 years ago, I basically had 0 athletic background. I was textbook skinnyfat. I personally feel I still am. I have missed almost no workouts in 3 years. I track every calorie I eat, and I have followed a handful of...
