    5’4 last few pounds are so hard to lose

    @shanewu93 Not at all. I actually posted it here a week or so ago. So I'll copy it: The last six months I've been actively dieting (or calorie restricting) and working out. This is what I did: I'm 5'4" 54 and was 152. I am now 123. In August I stopped drinking wine, downloaded Cronometer, a...

    5’4 last few pounds are so hard to lose

    @ki77ie I went from 152 to 123 at 5'4" over the last 6 months. I could feel things were starting to stall in Feb, so went back to maintenance for a recomp and will likely stay here for a few months. Those last 5-7 are incredibly stubborn, everyone is different and has to tweak things to find...

    Dr. Mike on male/female training differences

    @nathan2018 Absolutely true. There is no way I could handle the volume or intensity I do now when I was a beginner and my legs need more recovery time than my arms which seems rather obvious, but you have to experiment and find what is best for you. And even that can change as your body adapts.

    Dr. Mike on male/female training differences

    @jamie2014 In terms of metabolic differences, women can actually rely on fatigue-resistant pathways at higher intensities than men, which means they may not deplete their energy stores as fast. Their recovery can be anywhere from 25-50% faster. Look at some of the studies on HIIT. This makes...

    Sometimes…it just comes down to grit🤷🏾‍♀️

    @deadpool Totally. I think knowing how to fail safely is a huge plus that we should all practice. I don't have the luxury of a training partner who can catch the bar if I should fail. I've also had the experience where for some reason I'm stronger on the 3rd or 4th set though I'm at a weight...

    Sometimes…it just comes down to grit🤷🏾‍♀️

    @jodi1028 There are so many influencers out there, it can be hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. I follow some women because of how they look as it motivates me to get my butt into the gym and work hard, But I'm convinced 90% of them have cycled Anavar/Oxandrolone at a minimum...

    Anyone here taking "diet breaks"?

    @tinglee0021 This is the way.

    Dr. Mike on male/female training differences

    @patsy_cline_fan What I got from an interview done by Jeff Nippard regarding women and menstrual phases as well as Dr Mike is that generally speaking (baring the menstrual stuff) women recover faster between sets and days. So essentially volume and intensity can be far higher than the men. Will...

    When I exercise, I don’t lose weight. But when I stop exercising and just eat less, I lose weight

    @religionpsych Sorry if this is a stupid question, but were you consistently tracking your macros/calories during both times?
