How is my metabolism getting worse?

@lazarus_come_forth Awesome. You're getting fitter. 20 pounds in 4 months is also great progress, particularly when you're gaining strength at the same time. Forget about the Vo2 max measurements. Keep doind what you're doing, and good luck!

How is my metabolism getting worse?

@lazarus_come_forth For your cardio (1) is your pace improving? (2) do you feel less tired? (3) is your resting heart rate stable or decreasing? Vo2 is a great measure of fitness, but it's not always consistent and it's not always assessed acurately. In general, people underestimate the value...

    Took a Dexa Scan before resuming gym [M35 / 96 Kgs / 6'1 ft - 30% body fat, overweight]

@mynamechef Absolutely. But at a certain point, you start to love fitness. Compliance goes from a chore to an obsession.

@mynamechef Mirror, weight, waist size, and lifting progression. It's free and you can measure it every day (keeping a running average is best practice, imo)!

@jake99901 I was basically you 10 years ago -- same age, similar height, but a little bit fatter (I was about 220 pounds). If you really want to lose weight and see results, consistency with diet and exercise is way more important than whose specific lifting program you're following. Some of...
