@dawn16 Exactly. His personal routines where varied and then he also created numerous others to train clients - hence the consolidation program which he made for a hard gainer who couldn't handle almost any volume. It is understandable that Mike could train very infrequently because at that...

    Training like mike mentzer

@dawn16 He had multiple routines he developed for different goals and people; his own actual routine was different. Literally go look this shit up instead of just being ignorant and jumping on the "HIT bad" bandwagon

@dawn16 Doesn't actually refute any of my points and starts to derail the conversation instead lmao Of course, i must not have a degree because some guy on reddit said so. Oh no, i made a spelling mistake on reddit, i must be dumb. bro you go on my page, make up lies and try to manipulate, you...

@dawn16 No i am not new to lifting - i lifted for around 4 years, then took about a year and a half off and now i have been training for coming up to 3 years so i have a decent amount of experience. My post history where i have 2 posts on HIT lmao. Yeah i am on nofap, no that does not mean i...

@dawn16 No it is not hence my reply. the video you linked in no way debunks Mentzer and if you look at the recommended changes in the video Mentzer literally goes over them! Literally tell me right now what evidence you have that disproves him?

@dawn16 The point about cns fatigue is drastically misunderstood, in fact if you look at the research it seems to suggest that higher volume and cardio fry the cns more than going to failure. frequency of training has been disproven to have any beneficial effect - what i mean is training 4...

@indybap Where? when i read the science it says Mentzers training will work just like higher volumes will. People usually argue for it being more efficient which i disagree with, i just think it works for some people...

@dawn16 Yeah, i am loving this workout split and for the first time in a while i am actually sore after a workout. It is important for us to mention that later on Mike made programs for his clients, for example he made the consolidation program for a client. Also, he was a very elite level...

@supern0va Mike's earlier routine from the 70's was decent; mon/thur do legs, chest and triceps, tue/fri do back, shoulders and biceps. It is currently working very well for me, after this meso i will give Yates a try i think

@doks Where did i say you where a high volume advocate? I responded to your fucking comment because i agreed people at the extremes can be culty on both ends yet i only see people say HIT is culty. I said i wa scurrently trying HIT and do not get the beef between high vol and HIT...

    Training like mike mentzer

@doks So i am currently making gains on a Mentzer program, not the same one as OP - but what is with the hate for HIT? every time i see people hating on HIT saying it is a cult yet the same cult like behaviour is done by the advocates of high volume too. Literally do not understand it lmao

6'3/M/20 - 187 lbs, 13-15% BF - My goal is to get to 243 lbs (110 kg) and 8-10% BF, would appreciate advice!

@luxchmi If this is your goal you are in the wrong sub my friend - this is NATURAL bodybuilding. Your goal is literally to be Arnold because that is pretty much his stats lol You cannot have that much lean muscle on your frame within 5 years. You literally think you can get to Arnold level in 5...

Is my pull day too much volume?

@jonathanef I would say this is pretty high volume for someone who has been training for a year - you are getting almost 40 sets a week on back muscles... By comparison i have been training for probably over 5 years at this point in total but continually for 5 years, yet i do 4 sets per week...
