Josh Bridges movement standards in 16.4

@brokenandconfused Come on, CJ. Take some responsibility. You know what? Rich has won a whole bunch of open wods and probably been watched on video more than any crossfitter Ever heard someone say Rich doesn't do good reps? I didn't think so. because he does them to standard every...

@dawn16 Cool Watch the athletes on the left at :56 and the right at 1:20-1:30 Fisheye isn't an issue here

@precious_in_his_sight From a guy in my gym: "I don't think this is what they meant by FORGING elite fitness"

Josh Bridges movement standards in 16.4

@dawn16 Yeah, of course there is some of that going on. But this video is horrendous. It's not just Josh; he isn't even the worst of them. I don't know the other guys but if you told me this was a video of people mocking CrossFit, I would believe it.

Josh Bridges movement standards in 16.4

@jaylgee1 there isn't really a polite way to say this: Bridges reps are at best questionable. Some of the other guys in this video are just plain garbage. An entire gym was DQ'd a while ago over multiple athletes with spotty box jumps. Isn't this really the same situation?

@kohelet 2015 had zero burpees and a 1rm. In 2015, not having a high 1rm kept you out of regionals, period. That makes strength an absolute requirement in 2015 not a "nice to have". 2016 had 2x burpees and no 1rm. The only heavy wod was 16.2, but just making it to the round of 275 and...

@dawn16 Yeah, I know EZ a little from Pensacola and other shit. Great guy. Hard to say how he'll do. Another example, his 347 in 16.2 was #10 in the southwest and would have been #40 in the Southeast. EZ would not have made the top 50 overall in the Southeast. but he's not there, so it...

@brokenandconfused EZ doesn't get ANYWHERE NEAR regionals if he stayed in the southeast. His 10:06 is in 16.5 was 30th in the southwest, not top 100 in southeast. His 240 in 16.4 is 50th in southwest, not even top 150 in southeast this is of course a different topic but EZ barely made...

@dawn16 I guess we'll see. My coach is a data nut and he is crunching some numbers to support or reject the "hobbit" assertion. But burpees twice is prima facie evidence imo. :)

@nwmoose18 Congrats on qualifying; it was not easy this year at all. I know a lot of guys who are damn fit and didn't make it. Good luck in the next round.

@dereklirus This was an open for hobbits: 40% burpees, snatches with a PVC pipe etc. . Not a shock that evans and Hack had a rough time.
