    Bad in bench press

@jakesmith99 I know this is counter to the “hopper theory” of CrossFit, but honestly if you’re training exclusively CrossFit, you probably won’t be great at bench. Bench press is counter intuitive to the Olympic lifts, if I remember correctly it was Lu who said he explicitly doesn’t train them...

Overhead squats makes me so f**king angry

@mksamas At the end of the day there are going to be skills you need to work on outside the gym, and if you don’t, you won’t see results. Mobility in movements with Olympic lifts will require extra time outside the gym.

Big guy wanting to get less big

@brian7377 Then you've got the tools - You've got this! CrossFit is not just meant to be a fitness methodology, it's meant to give you the tools to be the healthiest person you can be. This happens in the gym and out of it.

Rogue Cerakote vs. Stainless Steel For Athlete S&C

@mormonbro Love that you’re taking over S and C for the high school! I helped run our local summer program the last couple of years and it was awesome getting to work with those students. I don’t have much in terms of advice for equipment.

    Can we talk weight gain?

@pdbcm Realistically you changed your diet more than you think you did if you’re gaining weight.

Big guy wanting to get less big

@brian7377 Fitness happens in the gym, weight loss happens in the kitchen. I lost 110lbs, and i had to learn through years of trying to work it off in a gym that it comes from the kitchen. Also, disciple begets motivation, not the other way around. Stop looking for motivation, and just start...

    Linda - women’s opinions?

@cgmezmer Realistically CF shouldn’t do bench press, especially if Olympic weightlifting is going to be the strength category of choice. Bench will impact and effect your RoM on overhead presses and jerks. In the grand scheme of programming, Linda is a bit of a bizarre workout for CF.

What’s the most ‘pure’ or ‘OG’ CrossFit program you know of?

@stairesdustin86 He will specifically mention in the notes “for time, or not”. Sometimes he doesn’t give the option, it’s just a for quality workout.

What’s the most ‘pure’ or ‘OG’ CrossFit program you know of?

@onedayworthy Not snarky at all! Just quoting Pat on why he’d say he isn’t traditional CrossFit. I’ve been doing LP since June of last year and I will sing its praises all day long, he does an incredible job programming

GoRuck: Lessons learned the hard way

@gertlush That's a bummer. I bought the trainers and had a great experience buying them and I've loved them enough to also purchase their runners.

What’s the most ‘pure’ or ‘OG’ CrossFit program you know of?

How much weight should /can I put on in about 6 months?

@chibisensei21 I wouldn't over think the number on the scale. Calculate out your TDEE, eat in a 200-400 cal surplus and make sure you're body is moving in a direction you want it to. Don't go crazy and "dirty" bulk, it's not worth it, just introduce some more calorie dense food.

Going to a regular weightlifting gym ?

@goodolchristiangal Bingo! Highly recommend Catalyst's beginners programs for WL. I believe they have a 3 day a week track.

Going to a regular weightlifting gym ?

@nikkimarie Realistically you won’t get very far adding one day a week in. If you want to improve your weightlifting, I suggest taking an 8-12 week block and focus on weightlifting 3-5 days a week.

    Fraser tortures fitness blogger

@kennybest I loved that Will decided to do that rather than do the lulPULLUPSlul bit that a lot of fitness influencers outside the CF world do. I've been watching Will for a long time now, I thought this video was way better than his previous CF video.
