    @worshiper1994 I love that they addressed post-menopausal women! That's a cohort that has been criminally ignored in the research. These benefits are intriguing for this population.

    @gary687 This absolutely. 2 to 3 minutes seems like a decent amount of time for somebody else to work in with you.

    @karin70 OMG. One of my pet peeves, these idiots who think they know better because they have a Y chromosome. I work in a gym, and I have had to intervene a few times when a man and woman (often a couple) are in the gym and he is trying to get her to do something stupid or unsafe. One idiot...

    I’m only about 8 weeks into weight lifting and I’m crazy stiff. Does anyone have a stretching or yoga routine that they can share?

    @melissa75 Absolutely. It's funny, the research studies where they first started to find definitive evidence of this are at least a decade old. It takes a long time for information like this to make its way out to the general public.

    The case for more stretching

    @alfie13 So the 5 or so minutes of stretching of large muscle groups that we do at the end of a group fitness class is pretty much spot on for how one should stretch! It's nice to have these references, because I get asked that question a lot.
