@lm231 Wow that's so interesting to hear! I guess growing up with asian parents always made me feel very aware of my body and how I've gained muscle haha. But thank you for the perspective! I can totally see where you're coming from.

@danilog Definitely going to push myself harder in the gym for muscle growth. I didn't really track my protein until recently and I definitely think I was undereating protein.

@dawn16 Yes I think that's exactly it. I wish I could build my hips out but I think it's just genetic.

Fitness advice for 5'2" female feeling stagnant

@lumomolo Yes those are things that I have been thinking about to. Lift to maintain my upper body, not build, and then cardio more during a cut phase.

Fitness advice for 5'2" female feeling stagnant

@wisdomtracker Yes for sure! I think my progress so far is due to body recomposition. I went from weighing 110 with no muscle to gaining a bunch of weight and shooting up to 135 when I decided to try and eat healthy and weight lift with a lot of fat gain. Then over the course of 5ish years, I've...

@jasonsim Thank you for the advice! I think everyone is right that I've build a very good base and now I can just tailor my workouts and diet to be what I want to focus on more. And of course! I'd say my weight right now averages around 124-125.

@deaconbling Lol I definitely think I got some body dysmorphia goggles on! I think this thread is definitely helping me open my eyes. Fitness can be such an internal struggle sometimes. And yeah, cardio sucks for me and I lose motivation very quickly but maybe I'll start with some walking!

@lichti The worst part about living in the cold, cold midwest of the US is we don't get to do many outdoor activities for long. But dance workouts sound fun!! I definitely want to pick that up.

@holly Yes I would love some cardio workout ideas! I find that cardio gets boring and repetitive which is why I end up dropping it quickly!

Fitness advice for 5'2" female feeling stagnant

@loveyhwh I think it's a challenge for gaining fat and also eating enough. I'm 3 weeks into my lean bulk and I'm sick of food. Pushing through the mental barriers are the worst part for me. But yes, thank you!

Fitness advice for 5'2" female feeling stagnant

@loveyhwh Thank you! I guess in my perspective I've been really contemplating doing the whole cutting/building cycling as I feel like my progress maintaining where I am has grown stagnant. My goals are to lean out a little more and get some more muscle definition. I've already started a mini...

@zastari Hm that is some solid perspective! I've always viewed myself as having a little more fat than what I'd like. Exactly the kind of perspective I've looking for! Gotta break my own mindset.
