What does r/fitness not understand about CrossFit?

@richard11 Pretty much anything. CF to them is just butterfly pull ups done poorly. You can’t convince them otherwise. To the average globo gym goer CF has no benefits and has a 100% rate of injury.

20.1 Strategy - A Coaches take having watched 20+ athletes complete it this morning

@rickzilla You've never been deep in a burpee heavy workout and just stopped mid burpee to lay there and contemplate why you do this to yourself?

20.1 Strategy - A Coaches take having watched 20+ athletes complete it this morning

@nananreddy I came out way too hot and ended up with 136. I know I can do better after seeing other people's strategies, but I really don't want to repeat that one.

2020 CrossFit Games Finals: Swim n' Stuff

@jonjones229 Did anyone see Frasers judge give him a no rep on the 3rd round of GHDs then suddenly change her mind and let him move on to the slam ball? What was that? The announcers didn't even mention it. Go to 17:44 of the video to see what I'm talking about

Anyone else struggling with a skill that seems impossible to learn?

@joeyvimsantethepoet I had the same experience. My coach (a red shirt) got frustrated with my lack of progress with 1/2 and told me to just focus on getting a handful in a row.

Anyone else struggling with a skill that seems impossible to learn?

@marlinkingsley Single/double isn’t a good way to learn them. It doesn’t build rhythm. You’re better off doing high jump singles and then work on your wrist speed. After dropping the 1/2 method I went from 1 to 30 dubs consistently then hit 100 unbroken within about a year or two.
