So i have a 24 and 32 kg kb's, the 24 one is one of those wide slippery handle and rubber coating ones, it was my first bell so couldn't really do anything but swings, then i bought a 32kg one, ive been doing only swings (one and two arms). But am watching some double kettlebell workouts lately...
I'd like to ask a question for those with a lot more experience/educational background than myself.
I've been running the Giant 1.0 and finished up recently, about to start up 1.1 now, but I've noticed the programs creator Geoff Neupert said he made the program a C+P program because americans...
What would bring the best returns, heavy double clean and presses or heavy double clean and jerk?
I haven’t messed around with the jerk yet, but people say it might be the king too building muscle and strength from kettlebells..
Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
Had a bit of a hiatus on here. Had some knee pain I had to work through, but I've been back to working out with KBs, and my gym membership unfroze from when my daughter was born and I moved to just doing garage workouts.
I'd like to get back into the gym since I love the social...
Full disclosure, I posted a similar question in r/ bodyweight fitness
TLDR: Given deconditioned status and level of being overweight, should I stick with KB work I can do now (the giant, KB workout snacks, etc), or do the bodyweight fitness recommended routine, knowing that it will be a LONG...
Dry fighting weight noob question here, on Day 1 when doing ladders am I doing:
1 clean and press, rest and 1 front squat, rest
Then 2 clean and press, rest and 2 front squat, rest and keep climbing the ladder till 30 mins is up?
Having difficulty visualizing the workout. Any thoughts or...
Hi guys, I am new into kettlebells. I’m 25, 193cm (6’3 ish I guess) and 88kg (195lbs). I am generally speaking in a decent shape. I make around 8,5-9k steps daily. Before pandemic I used to weight 65kg (143lbs). During lockdown I trained with barbells and dumbbells for like 6-7 months and got to...
Been powerlifting for a while now, and I’m looking to switch to home workouts. Unfortunately my gym moved and there’s nothing good around me for alternatives. I’m looking into getting 2-40lbs, and 1-80lb kettlebells. Any suggestions on weight recommendations, or things that are necessities when...
So I have a very, very limited choice in my country, I live in a small town, so I have to resort to searching online, and I really have only some basic ideas what makes kettlebells good or bad, I want to pick a competition one cause they seem to be simply the best quality, but there is fucking...
i started geoff neuperts 12 Week KB Master plan on the 13th of Feb. Ive been logging my progress on each of the movements and i am a little confused about my progress and how to track it.
The program states to start with a pair of kettlebells that are your 5RM for the military press. i started...
Hello comrades,
hopefully a quick sanity check is alright here. I believe I had messed up my shoulder when progressing to 24 KG too fast, then had to move house and was down with corona, so a good three weeks "off", which recovered my shoulder. A couple of bags of compost for the garden (50...
What is the general consensus on which is better for strength and hypertrophy. More specifically does the higher volume with the jerks carry more benefit than the higher tension with the lighter press. Example: double clean and press with 16’s vs double clean and jerks with 20’s or 24’s.
So I just finished a 4wk Geoff Neupert kettlebell thing.
My review is mixed.
I didn’t see any weight loss but am able to lift more.
I started with two 35# KBs and quickly moved to 44s. This was as far as I could go with matching doubles. From there I had to use a 44 in one hand and a 53 in...
I moved up to 24kg a minute ago on my never ending DFW routine. Currently using a KB King comp bell and one of their adjustable bells. Long story short, it isn’t working out. The balance in the adjustable isn’t right and you can really feel the weights clang around. The combo of hollow bell...
Similar to this but with a KB held at my chest which rests on my chest as I extend my back backwards. Can this be used as a substitute for Roman chair hyper-extensions?
I tried it with 50 lbs today, felt pretty good - at this weight it was neither difficult nor challenging (the stress) felt...
Hey Folks,
I'm part of a free men's workout group (f3nation.com, f3greenlevel.com) where we workout outdoors in the early morning all year long regardless of conditions.
For the past few months we have run ABC's, DFW Remix and then The Giant 1.0 and now thru Jan 1st doing some random ladder...
I've done rop with 24kg with end of february. Now idk what should be next. My target is to being able to start rop or dfw with 28kg. 180cm, 85kg bw, 28kg RM L 4 times, R 7 times. 2x28 2/3 times. Swings are possible, snatches are harsh with 28kg. Pistol RM 24kg, pull up with 20kg. With good day...
Always get great advice here. I love my kettlebell training and a friend of mine wants to take it up.
He is a 56 year old male, fit all his life (cycling, skiing and manual work e.g. digging and construction work). He has asked me for advice on starting kb training.
I myself started with Pavel...
I(21M) am 6ft tall and weigh around 90kg (yes I’m fat around my chest, belly and hip areas. basically just fat). I’ve started going out every morning for football practice by myself. I don’t really want to spend time figuring out the body weight fitness workouts as I just want something simple...
