Beginner self routine

Hi y’all. Quick disclaimer, I know the name of the sub says beginner but I really have no idea what am doing and am flying on google at this point. Long story short, I work at a fast food restaurant and am trying to get back into shape/get fit. I created a routine for myself but idk how effective it is, if at all and am wondering if I should go to the gym/get a trainer. The last time I went to the gym was 8 years ago and that was because it was required in school. My current routine is 45lbs bench press 6 reps of 10 with 30 sec of rest in between each rep. Then 30 lb barbell curl, 4 reps of 10 with 30 sec of rest in between each rep. After that is crunches, 3 reps of 10 with 30 sec of rest. I’m trying to target stomach fat to lose and gain abs Take a 5 min break then do half reps of bench and bar curl but not the crunches. Overall this takes about 20-25 mins which doesn’t seem like it’s Lon enough to be yielding results. I’m also not sure how to handle the diet aspect besides reducing my soda intake. All help is appreciated 🙏🏿🙏🏿

You can't spot reduce fat, if you want lose stomach fat, you're going to have to lower your overall bodyfat percentage by being in a calorie deficit.

Also just doing bench, curls and crunches isn't a balanced routine, and there doesn't look to be any method of progression. I strongly suggest following a proven program like the ones in the wiki - https://thefitness.wiki/routines/

@dawn16 Thank you so much 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 this is a lot more concise and thought out than what I was trying to do lol.I did a quick skim of the page and got to the beginner exercises which I feel like would be best for me since i can’t even do the basics for the 5/3/1 but do they talk about diet and how to manage it?
