Hey all, I (42/M/6’/160) am a little nervous to post this. I am not vegan for health or fitness reasons, but I do try to maintain a healthy-ish diet and tend to work out four days a week and I’m pretty active in the warmer months (hiking, swimming, disc golf, cycling, etc..). Vegan 10 years.
Just about every day, I eat the following :
Breakfast
1/2 cup oatmeal
2 Tbls peanut butter
1/2 banana
1/4 c walnuts
2 oz maple syrup
Smoothie
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen mango
Large handful spinach
1 serving Complement protein powder
10 oz coconut water
1/4 avocado
Supplement 2x Complement plant based multi
Snack
Prolonged power “Go Macro” bar
“That’s it” Apple + mango bar (just fruit in the summer)
Lunch
White rice ~ 1 cup
Roasted extra firm tofu ~ 8 oz
Roasted broccoli ~ 1 cup
Sriracha + liquid aminos
Dinner
Tacos w/
Gardein ultimate chicken strips/nuggets (2 servings)
1/2 avocado
Chopped greens/lettuce
Flour tortillas (3)
Buffalo sauce (rays)
Blue cheeze (Daiya)
Dinner varies depending on social plans but I’d say this is 4-5 days a week. I feel good about it, but just curious for any feedback from y’all who have better knowledge about nutrition. Like I said, I don’t pay a ton of attention to it, get bloodwork twice a year, but want to know if there’s something glaring you notice. Thanks in advance.
