Maintaining Protein Intake during Rest Days

Let’a divide it into Day 1, Day 2, Day 3.

Day 1 - went to the gym and hit targeted muscle groups for the day.

Day 2 - rest day.

Day 3 - went to the gym and hit targeted muscle groups for the day.

During day 2 (rest day), is it beneficial to maintain a 100g+ daily protein intake for muscle gain, muscle recovery, etc.? (Ewan, kasi I feel kinda guilty kapag marami akong kinakain na protein-rich food but I didn’t go to the gym that day. It feels like those protein are going to waste even though I’m sure it’s not)
 
@cparker You should always hit you protein intake every single day sa rest day nga mas important yan since need ng muscles ang protein to build and recover..
 
@cparker The day after working out is actually more important than the day of.

This important saying will help you. "Muscles aren't built IN the gym. They are built AFTER it."
 
@cparker Seems like you’re thinking about it the wrong way.

Your diet should be relatively consistent through out the whole week irrespective of your active/gym days.

As mentioned, your body will still be recovering and rebuilding even on rest days which are arguably when a large part of muscle synthesis occurs.
