Isa sa mga goals ko this year is ma-achieve and 10k steps a day pero now ko lang siya nagawa 😅 I work from home so it really was a challenge and ilang months ko dinelay mag purchase ng walking pad kasi namamahalan ako. A month ago, I bit the bullet.

Also, do you have recommendations on footwear? I initially tried to walk barefoot pero ang sakit sa paa, so I have been using my Crocs and it's so much better. I am the type na the less effort, the better kaya yung mga exercises ko lang are low impact like walking and yoga so I don't have to change into workout clothes. If you've read Atomic Habits, you'll know isa to sa mga tips na to lessen the obstacles so it's easier to fulfill/build the habit. Pero I'm also concerned na baka not having the proper footwear will result to injury, so in the name of safety, footwear recos are welcome. Thank you!

@wheeler89 Congrats! A walking pad at home really goes a long way.

Any pair of running shoes will do really. I personally ally bought a pair of Ultraboosts and those were a game changer in terms of feet comfort.

But best to go to the mall and try on different pairs to see which one you like the most.

Good luck and keep up the habit!

@wheeler89 Congrats, I know how hard it is to be consistent with that.

Sketchers GOrun and LA Gear Agile Tech are my personal recommendations, but always try a fit first.

@wheeler89 Way to go OP! Are you flat footed? If yes, i recommend Brooks GTS versions. They are support and stability shoes.I feel no pains while using brooks. Good for running and walking.

Want to achieve 10k everyday? Get a dog. Hahahaha my dog helps me to have automatic 4 to 5k steps daily. I am currently averaging 11k steps per day. Minimum 7k steps a day.

@roman72 I'm not flat-footed but thanks for the reco! My SO and I are not ready to get a dog for now. We have cats and they're all indoor cats kaya di kami nakakalabas except on our rest days hehe. Galing ng 11k steps a day!! Planning to increase my step count too!
