It’s okay if you don’t want to do at home workouts right now

@mam2011 Oh my gosh, thanks for sharing this article! It is somehow helpful to name the feeling. I don't have bagels or Mario, but my equivalent is cinnamon raisin english muffins and Settlers of Catan :D

It’s okay if you don’t want to do at home workouts right now

@gumcareblog It's not just fitness, it's everything. All the "you can work on X at home" motivational things are great, I'm sure, for some people. But also, this is a really strange and stressful time and not only is it okay to not be super productive or active or whatever, it's actually maybe...

It’s okay if you don’t want to do at home workouts right now

@malky2000 I really understand the exercise tied to mental health thing. I feel the same. The closest I can get, I think, is to go outside for a walk or short run. Even just 1 mile and it seems to boost my mood a bit. It definitely doesn't fix everything, but it's something. I hope you can find...

Petite people: what do you consume to get enough protein for muscle building?

@vman8r I love it! I find it works best if you stir the protein powder with milk (or almond milk) in your bowl so you have sort of a gooey paste, then add the cooked oatmeal. It prevents the powder from clumping.

Petite people: what do you consume to get enough protein for muscle building?

@vman8r I'm 5'2", around ~110 lbs +/- 5 lbs. I aim for 20-30 g protein per meal. Breakfast includes protein powder (usually stirred into oatmeal). Lunch and dinner pretty much always include animal protein. I rely on eggs + egg whites a lot, and lean meat like chicken breast, ground turkey...

    SBTD Questions

@elijahtocome Hi! I started doing SBTD back when it first started up until December 2021. I decided to take a break from it because I was getting bored, but I started to miss it! So I just started back up last week, too. And OH BOY WAS I SORE. It hurt to walk after day 1 and day 2. But this...

    Stronglifts 5x5 - Strength Results?

@dilynwrcrist I started lifting using Stronglifts YEARS ago. I was completely new to lifting so I started everything using just the bar and for overhead press I started with dumbbells. I don't have exact results since I don't have the app anymore, but I followed it for probably about 6 months...

My Accidental 2 Month Recomp: The Scale Ain't Shit!

@shaunf Super encouraging to see these changes in just two months and while eating around maintenance! Thanks for the reminder about how important protein is. My diet has been inconsistent lately and while my weight is about the same, I noticed I feel flabbier. I thought maybe I should cut, but...

Do any of you just NOT have defined goals?

@mayne70 I started lifting after I started playing roller derby when I realized I needed to build muscle to be a stronger roller derby player. Here I am years later, no longer playing roller derby, but still lifting 3-4 days a week. There was a period of time when I was aiming to squat and...

AMA: Megan Gallagher AKA MegSquats, creator of Stronger By The Day and Before The Barbell!

@susanedgar37 Hi Meg! First, THANK YOU, because your videos on YouTube are pretty much the reason I had any little bit of confidence to start lifting with a barbell and then to keep going :D There aren't any other women lifters on YouTube I've come across that explain things so well and who...
