    Fitness is a bit lonely

@youngmaleinsearchoffaith You can track in Chronometer! But I have an excel spreadsheet with body fat and weight and my goal weight and body fat. I’ve integrated my progress pics too so I can pull it up and remind myself that all my hard work is paying off.

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@rangoooo It was definitely so much higher. I’ve cut it out for about two months, and I cannot handle anything! Also, my diet is pretty clean right now too. I’m focused on getting protein and staying in my calorie limit. As a result I’m not eating a lot of fat or carbs. I wonder if that impacts...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@nomatterwhat I have plenty of fun not drinking. I didn’t mean to imply that in my post. I think it’s a bit more nuanced, and I might not have communicated that well.

@thesmiths313 This is helpful to hear :) I work remotely. Gonna need Tinder for friends!

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@lily7 There’s absolutely gyms in my town! I was so worried that I wouldn’t work out if I tied it to a gym (because driving there after work is just a mental hurdle for me). I need to pick one and just pick one or two days to show up. We have a women’s only gym too. I’m definitely needing that...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@beblessedbylove Absolutely! It’s definitely a default and certainly during winter. I live in a windy west tx town, and you have to be a bit creative to find stuff during the winter months (and summer too). I think it’s a default too because we (my friends) are well into our 30s and some 40s...

@purestofpure I really loved both of them! I’m gonna make a batch of it when I meal prep and keep in the fridge (minus the sparkling water) because I think it’ll keep well. Hope you try and enjoy :)

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@purestofpure I played with these last night so I could send them today: 1.5 oz nonalcoholic gin 0.5 oz apple cider vinegar 0.5 oz lemon juice 0.5 - 1 tsp ginger paste 1 tbsp honey 1-2 pinches cayenne Mix and top with sparkling water. ~60 calories from the honey The other one: 1 tsp ginger...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@purestofpure I thought the no alcohol was going to be super hard. But, it’s been amazing. I actually really don’t like drinking now. It just feels like such a drag. Excited for your fitness goals. I’m still in the middle of working towards mine, but I just feel so much better. I get happy for...

Please reassure me my home gym isn’t dumb

@evachristine I LOVE my home gym. I have a bike trainer for my road bike, a bench and barbell, and some dumbbells. I workout 6 days a week (which I wouldn’t do if I had to go to a gym). I put up a disco ball and some laser lights (it’s in my garage) and turn it into a little rave when I workout...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@seekingredemption It helps to hear this! I think what I’m feeling is also a mix of guilt for prioritizing my health and wellbeing over everything else. I’ve historically put my needs in last place, and now I feel like I’m being demanding by saying “I don’t want to go somewhere and drink if we...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@sandralois Fortunately I love soda water. It is my go to. I also made an apple cider vinegar/ginger/lemon/honey mocktail yesterday that really filled the fun beverage gap. I find myself talking about fitness a lot because I’m learning so much. I always tell my husband that he can let me know...

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@keepitsimple144 This! It’s not even that I’m on a diet or anything. This is just who I am now! It’s just tricky. Good luck with your routines :)

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@intermediary I feel this. I “cleaned up” socially after I got into therapy, meaning I had to let go of some “friendships” that were not good for me. It was hard. I think I just wasn’t anticipating going through a similar experience while getting fit. Thank you for your kind words 💙

    Fitness is a bit lonely

@zastari I agree completely. I’m doing what I want and what I need to do to prioritize myself after spending most of my life prioritizing others. I just need to find my people!

    Fitness is a bit lonely

I am loving my petite fitness journey. I’ve got graphs tracking my weight and body fat %. I joined this subreddit (which has been so helpful)! I’m stronger and starting to see results in my monthly progress picture. My mental health is great, and I really enjoy not drinking. Also, getting 8-9...
