    @whatuhhidk Same. When I was maybe 11 or 12, I remember being in the store with my mother and there was a man blatantly checking me out, my mom lost it, and that was the 1st time I remember it happening.

    @crr I think we all do the food cals similar in theory. My TDEE sedentary is ~1700. With my fitness, it's ~2100. So take away 500 and you end up with 1600, but I give myself 16-1700 for sanity sake.

    @skizzik183 I do 2 classes a week for a 150 membership. I also wouldn't do 6 a week for that.

    @tilian Seems reasonable yep. We all need to adjust as time goes. If you drop too fast or are too hungry you up the 1600, if it isn't helping you drop then you may need to lower it a bit. You'll find the good range.

    @tilian my work is 95% desk job, only the rare day am I walking around the lab all day. I've found over time with my new fitness my TDEE (THANK GOD) is around 2100 so I can cut at 1700 and do a gradual loss. Like you I can't function on 1200.

    @fbabers lots of people recommend healthy snacks, but that doesn't work for me. I'm the type that once I eat I want to EAT. So I don't allow myself snacks at work. I have breakfast when I come in, and then lunch. In between is gum, coffee or water no matter how "hungry" I feel.

    @briley4 hal higdon's novice half program. I'm on week 7, with a 7 mile run this sunday! So far it's going well. On Wednesday's some days I run, some days I take it easy and do something else. I let my body tell me.

    @briley4 Mine isn't IBS bad, thankfully. I just have to be careful with whats in my stomach pre-running. I'm thinking of starting with 1-2 bites of banana 30 min before I run and seeing how that works. daily runs are now 4+ miles and I feel dead after mile 3ish.

    @briley4 I had cookies last night. Run this morning was tough, answer, needed more cookies. in reality I think I need a pre-run snack but I have a sensitive stomach so I'm not sure what to try.

    @briley4 I struggle with this too. I'm training for a half in May, and want to make crossfit gains, so I know I can't cut too low or each workout will just be miserable. I'm hoping 16-17-18, somewhere in that range I'll be able to function and slowly lose.

    @nan10 When I'm in a place I'll feel unsafe, I carry pepper spray or a small knife. Idk where you live, so it could be different. It's certainly not "OK" for me to carry a knife, but frankly I don't care, I put my safety ahead of that
