For those of you who don’t belong to a traditional box..

@trustlove147 I highly recommend linchpin, I've been following it for awhile and I'm very pleased. I did try street parking, the programming type was not for me.

Cardio gains w/o running. I hate to ask the question that’s asked every day but I hope my added wrinkle makes it unique

@childofgod418 There's loads to do with a C2 rower. C2 itself has a website where they post daily workouts, I also believe the gainslab has a cardio program you could follow.

New Year’s Resolution & 2024 Fitness Goals Megathread

@kalijasmine7 Honestly that sums up exactly why I love my peloton. Some days I want to go to the gym, see people and be social but there's plenty of days I simply need to be alone and the peloton is fantastic for getting a solid workout at home

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@kvarsh As an accessory movement it's fantastic!

Halfway Through My Marathon Training Plan

@foreverroyal87 his programs do start light, that is probably my only "complaint". You can always add on a half mile or mile to the first few weeks of running if you're comfortable with those distances!

New Year’s Resolution & 2024 Fitness Goals Megathread

@nathan2018 Fitness wise 2023 was kind of trash lol. I don't believe I PRd anything except accidentally my bench press (135# from 130). My original goals were lots of crossfit skills/gymnastics/etc and I have not accomplished any, if anything I have lost significant strength/ability there. I...

    What's your "I know I should(n't) be doing this"?

@brianhex I should be meal prepping/counting macros/etc. I should not be eating whatever/whenever but the past few weeks have been complete laziness and freedom. I need someone to follow me around daily and just slap food from my hands.

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@anon103 Fully agree, thank you for adding on to my summary. That's specifically why I dislike bands so much, they force you to cheat the bottom of the movement. Many people don't realize it, and it kills their ability to do pullups.

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@jesusiscoming01 Another reason why I think negatives are key. It's hard to teach each part of a pullup, which muscles are flexed at which portion, etc without having someone move through the movement. It really is a whole body move

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@rapturewatcher Thank you! We'll move it into the FAQ for sure. I'm glad everyone has found this useful

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@gurshwin I appreciate the feedback! I want to clarify that I didn't mean to suggest bands are worthless. They are great as accessory pieces, which is basically how you used them. You developed the strength via negatives, rows, etc and then used the bands for some targeted muscle development...

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@mjh0607 Can you orient so your feet are against something heavy? Like a wall perhaps. Otherwise the first thing in my head are "grippy socks" like for yoga and such that minimize slipping. Hopefully someone will have advice!

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@kaka16 Absolutely! It's not the full range of motion like a negative but dips are fantastic accessory movements. Enjoy those negatives!

    The Elusive Pull-Up

@antibody 21!!!!!! I'm so amazed. 10 is my max. Fwiw I'm 5"3 and 165lbs. Could I do more if I was leaner, sure, but I can do them even thicc 🤣

    deadlift/squat form and anatomy

@deepblues36 Looking at your squat, it appears you are naturally doing a low bar variation. This is absolutely OK and necessitates a deeper bend forward in the squat. The width of your feet and placement is very much related to personal preference and body mechanics. (I also need a wider stance...

    deadlift/squat form and anatomy

@deepblues36 Please post a video form check if you want feedback. If you are not comfortable with that, then reach out to a local certified personal trainer or coach. There are many, many reasons these things could be happening and without seeing we cannot advise.
