    The answer was always kettlebells

@weaser999 Agreed. I only wish I had discovered them before I had wrecked my spine. Better late than never, I suppose.

Apply Giant 3.0 to pullups and dips

@whitney5388 Why not? Reps are reps.

    Program idea

@kaynic Why not find a program that’s tailored to maxing your service’s combat fitness test (assuming you’re either Army or Marines)? The ACFT is orders of magnitude better than the APFT they had when I was in and the Marines PFT/CFT might be more useful and practical than a bodybuilding split...

Will 50 pushups a day make a noticeable difference?

@seekfind I think you mean the Pull Up program, though the same principle applies.

    Geoff Neupert Strength Standards

@snowlucario That squat progression is…interesting. When I went from BB to kettlebells, I could x2 bw back squat easily, but there was no way I could DFSQ a set of 32’s for 10. I can DFSQ a set of 28’s for 10 now; I’ll have to make a trip to the gym and see where I’m at. Are people usually...

    Geoff Neupert Strength Standards

@juancarlos He did. “I believe it’s simply “strong enough” to tackle anything life throws at you so you can throw back. It’s “strong enough” to chop a cord of wood without being overly sore the next day… … To grapple without getting [too] gassed… … To pack out your house at a moment's...

    Help me with running

@isabelpatel Gotcha. I’m no expert on running, but while I was in the Army we were required to do a timed 2 mile run and I in fact hated running. I found an article with a program that closely aligned with my goal at the time of getting and keeping my time underneath the 100% score of 13:00...

@isabelpatel What’s your goal with the intervals?

“Quick and the Dead” format, changing up the exercises

Morning y’all (or evening, whatever. Wherever you are.) I’ve been doing Q&D for about a month now and it’s been nice to break up the monotony of doing just squat/C&P/snatch. I’m feeling like it’s time to change up exercises, but I love the time format. I’m thinking of swapping push ups and...
