How Should Crossfit Balance Its Two Competing Cultures?

@christhasrisen2000 They aren’t competing, people just don’t listen and/or coaches have undeveloped communication skills to persuade people into sucking up their egos.

2023 Open Goals - Met or Nah?

@thespeedboy I have been training alongside a top 10 Games athlete, was hopeful for getting on top at Semifinals. Got injured in 23.1 (freak thing) and my season is over at an age where this was likely the last of my prime. Wish there was another way in

Help me with tips of how to actually get out of bed and make it to CrossFit! 😣

@p77cf Do a different time until you gain traction on taking grasp of the mental health issues and medications. Discipline to get up early is overrated. Just relax and go at a convenient time for you.

    23.2A and B 90th percentile scores

@kyokosakura For A? I think you will be somewhere in the 25 BPU round For B? I think the cutoff will be much lower than expected, I mean Vellner failed his 255 rep and he is a very strong dude (it was a definite no rep). I'd venture to say the 210/130 range due to fatigue and very short time to...

Barbell Spin predicts Mal O’Brien to go Hyrox

@cmadukasi He has been a professional athlete in a comparable sport, trained full time and had a chip on his shoulder for 1 event. Take that as you choose to, but he is a fit human, but extraordinarily overrated. Also, when you are already a professional athlete, training for a year can get you...

Overhead squats makes me so f**king angry

@mksamas It’s mostly coordination, there are very immobile people who can overhead squat. A good coach should get you there, starts with a very good back squat

How much weight should /can I put on in about 6 months?

@chibisensei21 You can put on up to 50lbs in 6 months with consistency, and allowing your body to adapt to the new weight, while maintaining a healthy body fast percentage (assuming you are currently at a healthy BF percentage) Edit: Alright uneducated lil guys, explain the downvotes

    Can we talk weight gain?

@pdbcm 1 gram per pound of goal bodyweight in protein, 2 grams per pound goal bodyweight in carbs on days you do Crossfit, 1.5 grams per pound of bodyweight in carbs on off days. Fat doesn't matter if the other two are dialed in. Obtain those across 4 meals a day, and try building those meals...

already dreading tommorow's cringe 9/11 tribute

@marieb3 Wtf, I take honoring something with workouts seriously (but not very often), but holy hell that’s stupid.

    24.3,24.4= 21.3,21.4?

@ocdguy252 There are three workouts for a global competition. Completely different scenario. Please stay seated.

These bad dips need to stop

@josephcamline It’s because the handles are far as fuck apart. I use paralletes and when we accidentally set them too wide, it becomes very tempting for the legs to sprawl to compensate for weight distribution
