What is the proper scapular and thoracic positioning (aka form) for the support hold?

@ndubuisi https://www.reddit.com/r/bodyweightfitness/wiki/exercises/dip I think maybe we used to have more content about this...

@paul500 Hahaha, from what I've seen it's not looking too bad. /@fromgenesistorevelation did I miss anything?

@luke Nah, consensus is we want it here. I just didn't know why, and I assume a lot of other users don't either.

@luke Hey, can you edit the post to have a short paragraph about who she is, what she does, and why it's relevant here? I know you aren't new here, but... Rule 3

@hoppfull Hi, I suspect you must be new here, as your post has committed a few very minor etiquette violations. Please don't be offended if a friendly community mod comes along shortly to remove your post! Our little BWF subreddit gets weary of seeing the same questions posted time and time...

Looking for a cardio exercise like swimming the backstroke (x-post /r/bodyweightfitness)

@dawn16 I think I could do that w/ my kettlebells on the balance beam I am using. I'll mess with it - thanks for the suggestion.

Looking for a cardio exercise like swimming the backstroke (x-post /r/bodyweightfitness)

@dawn16 Thanks for another quality reply. Bodyweight and kettlebell at home is my approach; I don't have a gym membership. I actually just purchased a set of gymnastic rings and have been looking at some kind of assisted behind the back pull up, but to date have had trouble finding a guide for...

@locke23 Yeah, I think this is the key. This is the part of the movement I want, but I fear I'll never find.

Looking for a cardio exercise like swimming the backstroke (x-post /r/bodyweightfitness)

@fsmbin I'm asking for something that mimics the backstroke. I'm already working on swings for the posture issues. It's not actually as much that I am looking to help posture issues as much as I love the feel of the behind the back pulling of the arm down. I tend to have tight chest muscles...

Looking for a cardio exercise like swimming the backstroke (x-post /r/bodyweightfitness)

@locke23 But these are all work done in the front of the body with bent forward posture. The swimming backstroke is the opposite - the work is done behind the back and pulls that direction.

Looking for a cardio exercise like swimming the backstroke (x-post /r/bodyweightfitness)

I had a chance this past week to spend some time swimming in a larger body of water than I normally have access too, and I discovered that swimming a backstroke feels like an excellent remedy for my typical hunched over desk posture - the long pull with the back muscles, and the reaching up and...
