What do you guys do for drinks

@rnstaplesattnet I don't buy sugary drinks? I pregame water when I wake up. Water at the gym. Water before each meal. Sip of water before bed, no more. Might sip milk after a meal as a palate cleanser, but I've broken myself from milk binges. (I love milk.) I had to doublecheck that...

Is there a trusted "Has-it-all-vitamin" for Men?

@sabu935 Had a nutrition professor claim he gave blood regularly, as men don't menstruate. (No way to easily lower blood iron.) He was a little bonkers, but he had a point.

    Getting weaker on squats

@bjpascoal I prefer a reverse pyramid/wave strategy. Depending on the week, I'll ramp to 5s, and hit a few sets. Then back down to 12s and hit a few grueling sets. Whatever the lowest set of 5s was, I set that as my "minimum" threshold. So, if I hit "at least" 185 lbs, the last time, I...

Is strength training even worth it with insufficient protein?

@nanathalieee Most people aren't lifting "hard enough" for fatigue to be detrimental. Just means you're minimizing the benefits. There's a difference between the amount cited for "gain", and the amount needed to "live". Unless you're vegetarian, you're probably getting "enough".

Is my cardio routine efficient for weight loss?

@servant52 Cardiovascular fitness is great for the heart; what matters most is training your fork putdowns. Without or without energy expenditure, a caloric deficit facilitated by eating less is required for weight loss.

When I run on the treadmill I am dying after just half a mile. How can I make myself go longer?

@thisisme123 Which is fast for me. : D Never gone that fast on a treadmill. Sprinted on flat ground, but.

When I run on the treadmill I am dying after just half a mile. How can I make myself go longer?

@thisisme123 Good God, are you trying to kill yourself? Scale that shite back. Intervals. Now, this might sound easy, but I don't know where you are. My standard walking pace is 3.3. My "slow jogging pace" is 4 mph. Jog 30 seconds. Walk 4 minutes 30 seconds. Repeat 5-11 times. (total...

What are you eating during the week?

@basicsacademy Oatmeal every morning. Rotation of: 6 eggs, spinach & lb of ground meat, green beans and chicken thighs, tuna wrap & banana. I'm really really lazy, but damn simple is tasty.

How do I train to walk at a 5mph pace for 2.5 miles?

@upliftinglove I start slow jogging at 4 mph. I'm not sure I could get the form down to speedwalk 5 mph.

    Beginner Questions (Accessories, Volume, Recovery)

@mhdagley Some people here like SL. That's cool - beats the bashing it gets in other sectors. That said, I've run Starting Strength, which is 3x5. Three sets is enough to make you question your sanity. Five sets of squats 3x a week is more than you need. I'd go with this variation...

How does losing weight while progressing at the gym actually work?

@dillinger To a degree. I am n=1. Took most of last year off. Been on an experimental cut since New years. 205 lbs - 192 lbs. Regained all my strength back, and have been setting PRs. Recent bests are in the range of 140/195/285/375 OBSD. Without getting into training, dial in your...

Why don't men hire health coaches as much as women?

@gm0nkx I have absolutely no idea what a "health coach" is. Sounds like a cashgrab.

Says here that the farmer’s carry is a full-body workout. Can I just do farmer’s carries every day?

@dinneratsix Prime movers are forearms. Still missing squat, hinge, bench, row, OHP, and pullups. This can't be a serious query.
