    @bhish That is a real question, but I think for exercise scientists. I don’t think the study is useful for people who exercise at all. The end user is just going to burn themselves out. That’s why trainers exist. You need to turn that weird theory into practical advice.

    @pol1905 Robert oberst has a shit deadlift for someone his size. It’s the one thing holding him back from actually being competitive like he wants to be. That’s why he hates it. It’s just someone going,”it’s a dumb lift anyways” when someone asks them why they are bad at it.

    @bhish Apparently mrv doesn’t exist. They did a study and showed more work always equals more muscle growth. Even up to 52 sets of quads a week. Like 9 sets of leg press, squats, and leg extensions each one day then 4 4 4 or something 3 days later. All done to an rpe 8 for sets of 12. I don’t...

    @joyce65714 Ah yes studies like ones that say you should do 52 sets of quads a week. Those are real helpful.

    @bandan The doctor is going to tell you to stop deadlifting. They aren’t exercise scientists so listen to them if you want too. But I wouldn’t.

    @afraidoftheend The stronger by science hypertrophy program is 3 sets then an amrap. If you drop your training max a bit it’s essentially 3 warm up sets into an amrap.

    @saraannmarie Yea. In training I went left left right. And then for some reason as I approached the weight went nah just go right right right. I’m not sure why. It just felt more consistent.
