Dan John on YouTube needs more love

@learnandbloom I want to like this post a hundred times. Him and @rabbie77 are the two BEST kb resources. If anyone ONLY listened to those two, they’d be strong.

List of Kettlebell Strength Standards Using StrengthLevel

@raykay The KB community is a bit unique in that it's kind of it's own thing. There's not really a 'dumbbell' community because they're easy to use and seen as accessories to barbell stuff. KB's are tough enough to use that you need to put in a decent effort to get good with them. So That...

Recommended KB Programs for kids (7-10 yr olds)

@jdf123 I can only do so much. Parents like you & the poster are who build the habits for their children's success. Please keep teaching them how to move! We deemphasize PE too much in the US!!!

    A Genuine WTH effect(?)

@premier3092 You can apply it to anything. If you've seen how @princesscmc trains I use this format a lot with bells I'll do shit like 15 minutes - 28kg snatch to push press to Thruster x 1 each side. Record sets. Beat score next time it's programmed. Then sometimes I'll mess with it and be...

Recommended KB Programs for kids (7-10 yr olds)

@sayjay9274 I am a 5th grade Physical Education Teacher. So within the age range. I take them through 'athletics' workouts & a 'strength & conditoning' workout. They use Kettlebells, run around, hop around, throw stuff, etc. The biggest things I recommend are going to be incentivizing...

Made up a program, followed for 8 weeks - Calisthenics and a 24 kg kettlebell. Here's how it went

    @hannahmarie313 Intensity > Volume Intensity + Volume > everything

Is 300 swings/day effective on its own?

@nipun Some of these comments are weird lol. Go ahead and try it. It will be tougher some days than others, maybe on a day where you feel horrible, 200 is a better number. Maybe on another where you feel legendary you’ll want to do 400. If you want other high values moves, the clean and press...

The Big Five Workout (Kettlebell Variant)

@pinkpeony Power rows are very effective. I just like them more for people who move decently because it's empowering & builds strength well. For someone just just getting into lifting a strict row is a good start.

The Big Five Workout (Kettlebell Variant)

@pinkpeony Oh wait you know what I'm dumb. Replace one of those with thrusters. Replace double snatch with thruster I guess. Yes single hand snatches are great.

Training Protocol to Supplement Marathon Training

@michaelsu Then yeah regular strength training like RoP on top of a lot of easy miles seems great.

Training Protocol to Supplement Marathon Training

@michaelsu Idk how fast you're running vs. just wanting to finish but I was able to do Rite of Passage blended with barbell training & kettlebell sport half marathon training a couple years back. Within that training block I pulled off a 1:40:00 half marathon & did a 19 mile Spartan race in...

Kettlebell noob here, would appreciate some tailored advice for what to buy to supplement my research. :)

@raykelley I started with 32x2 and it worked out just fine for me but I had years of lifting experience behind me

The Big Five Workout (Kettlebell Variant)

@pinkpeony Double Snatch, Clean & Press, Single Snatch, Power Row, Long Cycle. This list includes just training one portion of the complex movements. Ie press or clean in the clean & press or just the jerk in the long cycle.

Nerd Math - the Mark of the Wildman (The 'Missing Playlist' for Mark Wildman's "Nerd Math" Kettlebell Programming)

@fbgah You mean I make the posts, or I make a post of the resources that I prefer? I’ve got my own ideas that’ve worked pretty well but almost everything I do is based on Tactical Barbell, Bromley’s stuff & my prior CrossFit experience. But yeah, base & peak strength by Bromley, Joe...

Nerd Math - the Mark of the Wildman (The 'Missing Playlist' for Mark Wildman's "Nerd Math" Kettlebell Programming)

@faithinmet Some combination of delivery that rubs many people the wrong way, his kind of cringey older videos about training like ancient warriors, weird cues like feet always should be forward and kettlebell movements should be thumbs towards you, because thumbs away will snap your arm...
