Advice for making strength training at home not so boring?

@schulte Maybe it's the exercises you don't like or maybe you're not lifting heavy enough? I enjoy lifting because it challenges me. Sometimes while lifting I'm so focused on form and completing my reps cleanly I forget to count. There's no room for being bored. If you're bored perhaps it's...

    TDEE Confusion

@eleos I don't know a lot about your job but being on your feet 10 hours a day, walking 2-3 miles on weekends and hitting the gym doesn't sound like sedentary to me. I would wonder if you lost substantial muscle mass and need to reverse diet. 1200 calories for you would sit in the malnourished...

I guess I’d better get used to barely eating anything 🙄

@nuke11 Search here for body recomp. Plenty of people 5'3 and shorter are eating 1800-2100 calories by building muscle. More muscle, more calories burnt at rest. It's all about your goals. I like volume eating so I am frequently full with less calories.

Having surgery and can’t exercise for up to 2 weeks

@markfred Rest up eat at maintenance. The faster you recover the faster you'll get to it. Your only job is to recover. If it makes you feel better you'll burn more calories healing from surgery than any other rest day.

    How Much To Cut

@tr1n1ty A 200-500 deficit (and no more than that) should be plenty. So long as it doesn't impact your protein intake or your workouts.
