Remember: You don't NEED Protein Powder (x-post /r/fitness)

@dawn16 Exactly this. I have fairly limited calories (1300-1600, depending on whether or not I'm exercising - sadly it'll be 1300 until my calf heals) and so I'm always trying to find low-cal, tasty ways to get what I need.

Remember: You don't NEED Protein Powder (x-post /r/fitness)

@dawn16 I get mine from canadianprotein.com. I get the whey concentrate and it comes in a ton of flavours. I have cooked and cream and chocolate peanut butter but I've tried plain chocolate, mint chocolate chip and strawberry. All quite tasty. Edit: tried to fix link, apparently not working :(

@dawn16 The powder I buy is about $25/kilo, so not super expensive at all :). But I'll keep that in mind.

Remember: You don't NEED Protein Powder (x-post /r/fitness)

@ibelong I use protein powder because it's an easy, quick, calorie-cheap way to keep my protein levels up (I usually aim for 80-100 g per day). I try to get most of my protein from food (and succeed from the most part) but there are some days I need the boost. I definitely feel best when my...

Tips for working out first thing in the morning?

@kingshellie I wake up and roll out. No giving myself time to waffle about - if I do that, I get comfy and end up having to push my workout until after work and no one wants that (my husband likes to ogle. Working out in the morning helps me avoid that). I get everything ready the night before...

@cassiet2001 It’s not even wheel size that’s the important bit, it’s the frame size and geometry :)

My doctor called me fat. My tests show otherwise

@little96 It's OK. I'm a bit bitter - my doctor doesn't seem to care enough about my weight and I wish she had when I was mired in the whole "I exercise so I'm healthy" and was eating a whole medium pizza in one sitting and feeling OK about it. She'll dance around it a bit but won't straight up...

My doctor called me fat. My tests show otherwise

@little96 Your tests say you're healthy. Great! That doesn't change the fact that you're overweight for your height. Unless you're a female version of Dwayne Johnson or something, you could stand to lose weight to be healthier. Do it, don't do it, it doesn't matter to me, but your doctor is not...
