Study: Back Squat produces better glute growth than hip thrust

@dawn16 you definitely still work your legs during hip thrusts, there are very few glute exercises that ONLY target glutes. Maybe some banded ones? But hipthrusts tend to target them a fair bit more than your quads which is useful especially if you're quad dominant. I think it's an amazing...

How long b/f you could do a pull-up

@numenorian I did say the majority of weight from fat, not 100%. There was a study over 6 months where if they followed a moderate calorie deficit they lost 91% from fat and only 7 from muscle. With regular weight training and proper nutrition (enough protein) that number could be higher. And...

How long b/f you could do a pull-up

@numenorian This is not accurate.. someone may be strong in their upper body and therefore be able to do more pullups than someone with the same lean mass who works more on their lower body. For one thing they will have more lower body weight to lift without the upper body strength. The...

@dawn16 I'm not op but have had 2 kids and managed to get stomach into shape again, some of it depends on genetics like if you will have stretch marks or not, or loose skin, some people have more elastic skin and don't have either. As to just getting a flat tummy? Anyone can do that after a...

Study: Back Squat produces better glute growth than hip thrust

@ephraimite yeah this is why I love HT's because my quads have always grown a lot faster and easier than my glutes so I need exercises specifically for glutes to balance it out

71 year old bodybuilder Dr. Josefina Monasterio! (X-post from /r/fitness)

@ryanb92 I'm actually suprised at how smooth her skin still is. I would have thought there would be more a more wrinkled appearance. There's a bit in the back but for 71 that's nothing. I love stuff like this because often from older people who stop exercising you get "oh but you can't build...

@maria90 so you built your own hip to waist ratio! just proof that women who don't have naturally narrow waists and wide hips can also build an hour glass figure

    DEXA scan results: 33, 5'4", 141.5 lbs, 19.1%

@maria90 that's really interesting that most of your fat mass is in your legs but they look relatively balanced with your upper body!
