Morning workouts - prep, routine and everything else

@charlieparker Here’s my advice: if your workouts don’t require a bra then you can workout in your pjs and remove that step. Get the video set up, get your water and start immediately. This doesn’t require a routine just don’t press snooze and move quickly

    How my gym views women

@theodoulos Sure if everything was equal then most men would be stronger but it never is equal. I think it’s easy for women to overplay the strength differences when women are only around 25% weaker (at least that’s the scale my gym uses). This is not a huge gap between men and women when you...

    How my gym views women

@theodoulos A woman with 10+ years of training experience is frequently stronger than 16 year old boys just starting out. I was literally squatting 100kg this morning and the boy beside me was squatting 50. Maybe you live on a different planet?

    How my gym views women

@yurtiestv No, it’s definitely not. Frequently women are stronger than men in a gym setting

    Remembering Weights

@khurram79 I would definitely have to plan and write that out and i don’t have dyscalculia. Get some help if you need to but if your gym does lots of percentage based work you could bring a notebook with the most used percentages and the plates you need written beside it. Your coach was being...

    How my gym views women

@debyfabienne Complain and suggest maybe they need to take on more female staff and personal trainers. The culture has obviously become toxic if they think this is funny

    Remembering Weights

@khurram79 Those who use the superior metric system decided it. 15kg for the “womens bar” and 20kg for the bigger diameter bars. Such a pain to have to add that to your list of calculation headaches!

How do you pump yourself up to go hard?

@allthingsarebecomenew I follow a program that is based on percentages of my max so i just do what’s on it, resting as needed

    8 years off

@lep I can’t help but think some carbs might help but each to their own on that. Pace yourself better would be my answer here, you’ll build fitness soon

After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@evnwlsn I have made huge progress with my loose skin and weight training. It takes time for skin to change and if you haven’t been training optimally then there’s definitely still a possibility it’ll change.

Anyone on here losing or had to lose big like around 100lbs?

@kaylarose3 Is there any wiggle room with your thyroid medication? Maybe you’re within “normal” range but are under medicated given that you can’t lose weight which may mean you are still experiencing symptoms

After 2 Years of Extremely Serious Training. Reached Serious Plateaus as a Natty. Help?

@forever02 You’re in a deficit, your progress will plateau. I highly recommend you pick a better routine to follow, there’s tons of junk volume in these routines and it’s holding you back from recovering and making progress. If you want to put weight on the bar do a program for powerlifting, if...

After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@evnwlsn If you can follow up your 3 x 12 with banded work then they’re not heavy enough imo. I would get some more dumbells maybe 8,10,12.5 and maybe 15s when you can afford it. Do 3 x 8-12 so when you can do 12 then it’s time to increase the weight. A pull-up bar would be useful too so you...

After Almost 2 years I admit defeat.. I don't know what to do anymore

@evnwlsn I know you are saying you don’t want huge muscular arms but have you tried training as if that’s your goal? So heavy weights, 8-12 reps to failure and do bicep and tricep work. Basically any upper body workout aimed at young men. By your build i don’t think you have genetics for big...

Is 235 G of Carbs, 170 G of Protein, and 95 G of Fat a good macro ratio if I'm trying to tighten up my body?

@sherri198128 It sounds like you just need to build muscle so eat at maintenance or slightly above. The straightest line to having bigger muscles is bodybuilding style training, if aesthetics are your goal then this should be a consideration. Protein wise the literature is pretty unclear. If...

@thunderstruck The problem is everything except for barbell strength which is most of crossfit. Top end strength is rarely tested
