    @backnforth I would focus on your bench technique instead of worrying about accessories. Specificity works better when you want one lift to go up. Secondly and no offense but I suspect something might be off with the way you bench or your method of progression if you aren't there considering...

    @luke2334janel How much do you weigh? Long arms by any chance? Is your bench TNG or paused? I found when I did all my bench training paused the numbers exploded, my chest improved a lot too. Do you have a spotter to help you push to failure?

    @polarbearwear It's not a bad method but also can cause issues with progression because like I said even adding 1 rep at the same weight can be harder than weight or other variables. Try either adding 5 lbs the next session and meeting the same reps, doing a longer eccentric or maybe adding...

    @polarbearwear Whats your progression scheme? Do you typically try to add weight or add reps? Adding a rep is usually harder than increasing weight by 5 lbs.

    @luke2334janel Are you sure everything is dialed in? I'm not trying to be a dick but that's not much especially for that long so there could be areas to look at to improve if bench numbers are something you care about.

    @kvolm If anything the dumbbells would be better to replace than barbells. Dumbbells can't be microloaded like the other two usually.
