What is the end-goal of working on your chest as a woman?

@kbhurst I want to be able to climb up a rope for obstacle course races, so I regularly train my chest for that.

Women who don’t bloat / gain weight / feel weak before or during their periods…

@freds I exist haha but I can't give you advice because I have no experience with preventing or managing period symptoms. The only difference I guess is my hunger. I'm even more ravenous when I'm menstruating, but that's like it. I don't avoid eating more because that usually leads to a binge...

Just watched a large man’s “what I eat in a day” IG real and once again mad at how little we can eat

@raptur3ready I try to be! I enjoy long-distance cycling and obstacle course racing. But I mainly work out so I can eat. I couldn't bear eating less, so I chose to just workout more so I could eat the same as a normal man. I want to get to the point where I'm maintaining at 2500 because 1900...

Just watched a large man’s “what I eat in a day” IG real and once again mad at how little we can eat

@shieldofangels Having muscle definitely helps. I'm losing weight at 1960 cals a day and it's not too bad! I'm trying to gain 4 lbs more of muscle just so I can eat more.

Should I start lifting weights and doing body recomp while I’m still obese or wait until I lose a good portion of the weight?

@dawn16 It's the truth. Heavy people have a lot of muscle by default! It takes muscle to move all that weight. Sumo wrestlers and powerlifters are probably the best examples of fluffy people with muscle. Both groups of people obviously trained for those physiques, but being overweight definitely...

Should I start lifting weights and doing body recomp while I’m still obese or wait until I lose a good portion of the weight?

@indent You can start building muscle now. One major benefit to being overweight is that you don't need weights because your excess is already enough. If a fit person is doing squats with a 50lb bar, then you're already doing the equivalent or more doing squats with your natural body weight...

6.5 inches off waist, 2.5 pounds heavier

@theeverydaykingdom I think you're okay. Your numbers don't sound concerning at all, and your results are what a lot of people aim for! The scale number means nothing when you're active. There are plenty of athletes in the "overweight" category despite looking fantastic. I am 5'3" and I look my...

    Feeling like a loser

@previouslyseeking The best thing you can do is get back up. So wherever you are, get back up and get back on track. (Maybe not on track to 1200cals though, that's way too low. Start with 14-1500). Everyone misses the mark sometimes, everyone fails. Here are a few things I do. After a binge, my...
