What motivated you to get into fitness?

@pastorguice I work out at home to with pretty much the same setup that you have. Anyway, once I found out what sarcopenia was I got really motivated! Strength training has also been proven to reverse diabetes. Oddly enough of the people I know who have diabetes NONE of them do any type of...

Is a 3 time per week PPL enough to build and maintain muscle?

@onehumbleservant It all kinda depends. For the most part training a muscle group once a week is enough to make gains BUT the amount of intensity plays a key factor in that too. If you’re taking each set to within 2-3 reps short of failure and aren’t taking really long rests between sets you...

    High BF% not overweight

@roarke Push pull legs routine women The push-pull-legs (PPL) routine is a popular training split that can be effective for women looking to build lean muscle and lose unwanted fat. This routine involves training the push muscles (chest, shoulders, triceps) on one day, the pull muscles (back...

    High BF% not overweight

@roarke Okay, now I get it. I've got some issues with this training algorithm and that it's all machine work. Why such low amounts of sets and reps? I'd bump the sets up to three. You said that this kicks your butt but why all your reps set at ten? Basically as long as you're training hard with...

Daily microroutine (only dumbells (and TRX)): Does it makes sense for strength training

@janeevans89 To be honest, weights would be better, but bands don’t take up too much space.

Daily microroutine (only dumbells (and TRX)): Does it makes sense for strength training

@rylez98 Bro, I’m all about using practical and effective training because I do my workouts at home in my garage without a lot of space. I do have Rogue folding rack, but I use a weighted vest, a TRX and resistance bands. I glad I could help.

    High BF% not overweight

@roarke If you're 5'6 and 148 lbs then you're within the "normal" range of BMI at least according to this. You have to take into consideration that the BMI isn't the greatest health metric because it doesn't take account for body composition(muscle, fat, bone, boobs). Because of those factors...

    Tell me I’m not crazy

@robinmoz My bad, I think I need to clarify exactly what I mean because, I’ve seen a lot of this type of behavior. As a matter of fact I know someone who is dead because of this type of thing.......... Since I’m an American and Black I’ve seen A LOT of this “Surgery Culture” for lack of a...

    Tell me I’m not crazy

@roarke You’re not crazy, you’re doing the right thing. Just because everyone else what’s to slack off, not put in any work and then drain their bank account on Semaglutide, BBLs, and tummy tucks isn’t your fault.

    Dumbbell limit - what next?

@severina418 Yup, I use bands, a weight vest, pull-up bar, and a step ladder.

    Hello!

@ceecee1026 Good on you for figuring out the benefits of resistance training! My 2 cents, cardio is usually rather leg intensive so you’re probably not going to want to do it after you’ve beat your legs up the day before. I’ve tried rowing with sore quads, it hurts!

I’m male 22 never worked out and want too but dunno if it’s too late as Ive smoked and am sedentary since i was 9

@badgerstate Bro, did they ever teach you about run-on sentences. Anyway, for now check out Al Kavadlo’s book “Get Strong” it’s a pretty decent body weight workout program that should get you to point where you can do pushups and pull-ups.
