To keep your lower back flat, activate your transverse abdominis and rectus abdominis, and push your lower back to the floor before lowering your leg.     @lacey65 I do 5-6 days a week. Started with 10 reps a day, then increased the total daily reps by 1 or 2 every workout day.

    @hebrewrootwife I only hold a pair of dumbbells with my hands. My legs are much heavier than my arms, so i didn't add weight to them.

    My abs used to be very weak. I couldn't even hold the middle position of a sit-up for a few seconds without having my lower back bend backwards untill i worked my abs with dead bugs. So i wasn't able to do most ab exercises. But, now i can even hold a hollow hold for almost a minute while...
