    @showtime2507 You don’t need to up it from 1.6g/kg or a little over 0.7g/lb to be optimal even for cutting. That figure already takes cutting into account.

    @barnabyjones While you can definitely fast when trying to gain muscle or lose fat. It’s definitely not optimal for either. It may suit the individual though if eating in the small window helps hunger and the ability to stick to the diet.

    @dawn16 I do. Your body doesn’t know what’s best for it or we wouldn’t have an obesity problem. Even with high fiber vegan foods I’ll still overeat if I don’t watch my calories for the day.

    @sandraovercomer It’s hardly a sham though. While many people push over proven beneficial amounts of protein. Optimal protein intake for muscle growth is still fairly high and not a sham and often difficult for vegans to achieve.
